Depends on the dealer.

Okay...saying my dealer says he will honor the warranty after I install the LT Headers...what would you guys say is the ultimate set up....from engine to exhaust tip? Cutouts....etc?

IMHO, the ultimate set up would be Stainless Works longtubes, with chambered mufflers and 5" tips.
It's what I have and it sounds/performs great.

Anytime you modify, you risk having problems with your warranty...period. Many people will tell you that according to Magnuson Moss you can mod to your hearts content. Technically they are right, but it doesn't mean the dealer has to make your life easy about it. Also, if you find a dealer that doesn't give you grief, are you confident you will always have access to that dealer (never move, guarantee new ownership won't change the rules, etc).

The most extreme I've seen of this is a Challenger buddy has a supercharger and mods galore. He recently went to the dealership (very good relationship) and they will still honor factory part warranties. It surprised the hell out of him, and I think everyone else too. While guys like this exist, I prefer to think they are the exception vs norm to the rule.

My point being -- modifying can cause you warranty issues. If you aren't comfortable with those risks, then don't take them.

im a big fan of the american racing long tube headers but they were also the only long tube headers on the market for my truck and i have not looked into the stainless works headers, and for your set up it depends what you plan on doing down the road, i got mine with cats and Y pipe and then later on in my deployment i decided to get a ripp supercharger (nothing but problems with their tune!!) now i wish i would have got the headers without cats and i would have got an X pipe and made it duals all the way back to cut down on back pressure

Okay, so I got confirmation from my buddy (local Dodge House Svc Mgr) to install LT Headers without voiding my warranty. Now I'm hearing nightmare stories about service codes being thrown due to back pressure reduction(?). Any opinions or sweet word of advice for my 2014 R/T mods?

You might get a catalytic converter efficiency code still even if you get your headers with cats, you will most definitely if you go catless. There are ways around them, either custom tune or post cat 02 sensor spacers(I run spacers on my setup without cats no problems or codes).

A lot of their knowledge is based off "he tell me" from the old timers who don't have a clue either.

If you do some research, throwing codes with LT's isn't exactly uncommon. The best way to defeat the issue is to have a good tuner write you a custom tune.

The issue with that is many guys struggle with emissions testing depending where they live and the laws.
