Cummins baby!
Had the same issue on my 2014 ram. Broke again just after my warranty ran out. I kept pressing them about these faulty bolts and manifolds and they fixed it. You gotta call the 800 number and stay in them. This is ridiculous. They try to imply that this is normal. BS. I get belts and water pumps and alternators wear out, but not manifolds or the connectors.

So help me out, replacing the exhaust manifolds with header seems to solve this from happeing again?

Correct. The stock exhaust manifold flange warps, which breaks the studs. A quality header with a quality flange will not warp in this way.

Same thing happened to me and my 2013 Sport. Happened around 45k, then again around 54k. Traded my truck in when it hit 60k for a 2016 with 12k, before they broke again. :)

It was my understanding from what I read about the issue was the dealer was supposed to use stronger bolts when replacing snapped off bolts. Of course I have no way of telling if my dealer did that...

I'm curious about the header option too.

My 2013 Ram 1500 Hemi had broken exhaust manifold bolts repaired under factory warranty in Feb or March 2018, was about 2 weeks before my factory warranty expired. Now 7 months later I am pretty sure same bolts are broken. Was thinking there should be like 12 month warranty on repair work, even without warranty but bolts I have no idea.

All Chrysler/Mopar NEW parts are warranted for 12 months and more reputable dealers warrantee their repair work for 12 months.

So the lesson here is call your dealer before getting work done and confirm they will stand behind it and get that in writing.

When the bolts broke on my 2013 they replaced the manifolds with new ones. That was over a year ago and so good so far.
