So I normally buy used trucks to save some coin on depreciation...

The year I bought a new 19 PW because there was not a used 19 available...

Since it was new, I have only washed it about 10 times since July 5th. I like the truck to look “trashed” after I been off-road a week or 2 (or 3/4 haha)
Now the interior always stays very clean. I remove my trash daily. I don’t let my kids eat inside of it often. I wipe the interior down weekly/as needed.

I posted this here on the Power Wagon form not to exclude anyone that does not own a PW, I just did not want it moved to a detailing or garage forum ( but I am including those of you who actually go off-roading in your Ram )

Take the poll and reply. It’s a unique question to a group of guys and gals that share the same love I have in wheelin’.

Most of my off-roading is on the beach, so I wash it right away. Mudd, you might think of it as a mud bath for your truck.
Yeah I lived in Galveston a few years and wash my car (66 mustang was my daily driver at the time) every week, especially the undercarriage. Same in snow season when I had a Jeep in CO.

Funny I was just grossed out by mine today. Prolly over a month of runs and trip rides. Trash gets tossed. But cleaned eh. If I clean it this week I’m out that weekend and it’s trashed again. I’m learning to deal with it. But I don’t drive a 60k power wagon either lol. If I did it would still be dirty hahaha. Im way more interested in keep it mechanically sound.

There are times after wood clearing mud runs that attract Nats/bugs etcetera, don’t want to deal with that ish in the garage and getting in and out.

Other than that a thin film of dust actually provides additional protection on the clear coat from debris.

You seem to be off road more then on road...
The problem with never washing is if you or your wife get all fixed up to go out and brush up against your truck
I wash mine so save the paint. Especially with my little fingers at home always touching it and digging sand into the paint. But after a hunting, fishing or an off road trip, I like to come out to muddy truck to reminisce on a good time... then wash it to have a clean slate for the next adventure.

I here ya’, living out a dirty truck day in and day out is one thing. Letting the mud showcase across the sides of what you been up to last weekend, is another thing.
I don’t sport the “bug look”, neither. Plus if you keep the bugs on, it seem as when they decompose they effect the clear coat. (Just a theory)

With those off set on your wheels, I bet you cannot go though a puddle with out slinging it down the sides. I had an issue with that and my Jeep. I got hosed on a clear day with my top down because I did not have big enough fender flares.
