Ok guys, I read a couple of the threads on chirping noises, but none of what I found covered my situation.
For starters, I’ve got a 2013 Ram 1500 Longhorn with about 125k on it. I bought it last year and it seems to have been well taken care of.
I had problems with the air ride suspension and I replaced it with a 6” zone lift with 2.5 icons in the front. I put that on a few months ago.
I noticed a chirping sound maybe a month ago. I only hear it with the windows down and it only seems to happen at about 35 - 45 mph when the truck shifts into 4th gear. I don’t hear it in 2nd or 3rd gear at the same speed. If I accelerate hard it seems to go away and if I let off the gas it goes away. Any ideas what it might be? I can try and post a video. I don’t hear it at all any other time. The u-joints feel tight to me but that’s just with me trying to move the driveshaft by hand. I was thinking about changing them out anyway just to rule that out.
