Weird remote start problem

The remote start doesn't work unless I take it completely out of the casing and push the button right on the electrical board. The lock and unlock buttons work fine without dismantling the remote just the remote start doesn't work. Does this make any sense to anyone?

I had similar problem with my truck. Changed batteries nothing. I took fob apart and used electric contact cleaner on the circuit board where the buttons would touch (take battery out first). Then wiped with clean cloth, waited of few minutes, put it back together and it worked. It may help you out.

I'll second this. It sounds like the contacts are dirty or corroded.

Just that simple! Works perfect now. Thanks guys, wish I would have tried that a month ago before the ridiculous cold weather.
