Hey there, so i got a good deal on slightly used westin nerf bars. I have the mopar nutserts installed on my truck, 2016 big horn. The bars didn't come with the bolts. I used the mopar bolts for the 2 bottom holes and they seem to be pretty secure. My question, is there some sort of nut plate or something i could use to secure the top of the bracket into the oblong hole at the top? Thanks 20191019_142602.jpg 20191020_145424.jpg 20191020_172010.jpg

My N-Fab's had similar "clip nuts" as listed above. I'm sure if you contact the manufacturer, they'll sell you a cheap hardware kit for them.
Your can find those nut plates at any auto parts store... Take the bolt with you.

Hey tough to tell but they look solid. Have you looked at westin installation instructions? Ya know, seeing what they referenced.

Good idea. I bet the size of the hardware and thread pitch may also be reference.

My 3rd Gen MegaCan and both 4th Gen 2500s had clip nuts in at least one mounting hole. The other hardware mounting points had nutserts in them.

Best looking bars out there, in my opinion.

Thanks for all the replies. Westin said they only sell the whole hardware kit that includes brackets and all the hardware for $58. I will try the clip nuts with a thick fender washer or keep looking for a nut plate. Thanks again

You can make a much better set up for hardware from a good auto or hardware store.

UPDATE: I had to replace my suburban's nerf bars way back when. I went to the hardware store... It took a bit but that set up lasted another 125k miles...
