Hemi 5.7 Sport Crew Cab 4x4
washed the ride yesterday. Noticed this hose hanging down. Looks like it sheared off, or something chewed through it. The other end goes into the top of the axle. Is this a vent hose? I zip tied it up for now, but want to make sure I shouldn’t be more concerned.

Axle breather tube... just zip tie it to something higher up... dont forget to leave slack for suspension travel

It’s the breather/vent for the axle.
Weather you just tie up what’s there, or replace the tube, it would be a good idea to locate the vent/cap. If the tube just broke(or was chewed by something) the other end of the tube, along with the cap may still be hanging up under the truck.

All the above, I’ve seen em crack, split and break with age. You definitely want the vent cap on it.
