Yeah they had the 1500 in a mega cab configuration with some 2500 frame and suspension. Only had them for a few years

Yep^^^ 07 1500 Mega Cab came on a 2500 frame and suspension with 8 lug. Great value buy. You paid 1500 pricing and got a 2500 frame benefit.
