The SRT10 hood isn't really used for ram air (or so I've read). It was designed more for letting air out.

Now, a Vararam looks slick under the hood - and you can see it through the opening of the SRT10 hood. :D

theres a guy in my car club who had a 3rd gen ram with an srt hood with the functional scoop he said it gave 2-3 mpg on the highway and noticeable power all around, especially on the highway... he swears by the damn things. it would be cool but i'm too damn cheap to buy one, and too damn lazy to make one

Still Contemplating My Options on CAI.

I'm still trying to decide which CAI to install once I've saved my pennies

VARARAM now advertises RAM Air for HEMI using the SRT hood: Hemi Ram Air

For the moment, all I have is the K&N drop in.

The K&N CAI I had on my previous 4.7L was great for city driving, but defening in the cab under constant acceleration through the mountains, so I'm thinking about boxed units like VOLANT or S&B.

You sure like to resurrect as the OP already moved on with the 3G beast. Looks like plexi or clear material is use so it does not get dirty. the tubing placement seems to be the same routing location as always.

Have a SRT Hood but routed mine like this.

Correction, I looked at the install instruction and it is not Gen 4; the throttle block is at the bakc of the engine near the firewall. Dang it!
