OK I ment rather what I can't see. Technical solutions/improvements etc.The looks are pretty obvious, for 1.
Sorry, what is loose nut behind the wheel? The fifth gen have the E-Torque mild hybrid system. As far as I know, it CAN be optional on the Hemi, but don't think you can get the 3.6 with out it. The Gen 4.2 (Classics) don't get the E-Torque at all.
Also, as far as I know, MDS is still on the current Hemi. It's been on all truck Hemi's since around '08 (I think) with car Hemi's having it longer. At best MDS is good for around 10% mpg improvement, but only at constant speeds.
As far as engine management - I'm sure it's gotten incrementally better, but nothing outstanding.
Some of the changes in the interior are specific to the fifth gen, but most can be had in the Classics as well. As far as I've seen on the Ram ordering side, the larger screen/infotainment systems are available across the board.

If wahrsuul is same opinion? Or it's self irony? Than he's funny. But don't forget, only Casanova could tell about himself, he has big nose. That would be the driver behind the steering wheel. It usually means the person couldn't drive a tricycle if they tried.
If you're interested in the EcoDiesel at all, it's apx 80% redesigned in the 5th gen vs 4th gen Ram 1500 bodies. More horsepower and torque, improved fuel economy and theoretically more reliable vs the old.OK I ment rather what I can't see. Technical solutions/improvements etc.
This upgraded 8 speed must be fantastic, because I'm already very satisfied with mine gen. 4 transmission. Never have to manualy manipulate shifting, what I supposed to do before with 6 gear automatic Audi Allroad and 5 gear aut. JEEP Wrangler CRD. It's a very curvy up and downhill track here around my homestead and I don't like unpredictable (ad hoc) gear changes any time. But my Rebel does his job very well and smooth.Electric locker rear diff is now an option, upgraded 8 speed transmission. Gen 4's were 8HP70 8 speeds 5th gens get the heavier duty 8HP75 8 speed with revised gear ratio's.Supposedly the 5th Gens are about 300 lbs lighter then a comparable 4th Gen.
8HP 70 is rated for 700nm continous duty,or roughly 516 lb-ft
8HP75 is rated for 750nm continous duty ,or roughly 553 lb-ft
Guys who've raced 4th Gens and now are racing 5th Gens are saying the 5th Gens are noticably quicker stock or mod for mod, might be a combination of the better gear spread in the 8HP75 and the lighter weight.Supposedly the stock 5th Gens with 3.21 gears are out running the 4th Gens with 3.92's pretty easily,i've never ran or drove a 5th Gen,so can't confirm what the rumour mill is saying, but the guys claiming it,i do respect and trust their opinionsThis upgraded 8 speed must be fantastic, because I'm already very satisfied with mine gen. 4 transmission. My like to anonymus!Correct me if I'm wrong but I noticed that the 5th gen has a 7100lb. GVWR VS 6900lb in the gen 4. And a GCVWR of 14,100lb vs 13, 900 lb. Looking to buy a travel trailer and noticed the difference. This was for a 2019 5.7 4x4 with 3.21 gears
