Gen 4 sport hood with dual

Wondering if anyone knows of a gen 4 sport hood (with the 2 scoops) anywhere in Dominico Red.
Would like to convert on the cheap without painting.

Regular hood I have is 99.5% perfect, but the non sport.

In my experience with the sport hoods, it's not likely to find a used one in good shape for a fair price. Even less likely to find one the same color. If you're set on a sport hood, probably best (in the long run) to order a new one and have it painted. If you go with an Amerihood or other brand fiberglass one, have a bodyshop do all the fitment adjustments before paint. It's a dice roll as to how bad it fits right out of the box. Some have bad panel alignment, others are so wavy you could surf them.

Thanx for the feedback. Not even considering an afterrnarket glass or plastic hood - OEM only.

Yeah, I get it. Very, very low odds of finding one, but if one doesn't ask, then odds are about zero.

Check any local salvage yards and also: www.car-part.com

If I remember correctly the sport hoods are skinned in steel, the regular hood is aluminum.

Did you ever find a Sport Hood, in Delmonico Red? I'd love to find one also, and switch out hoods.

I am at the point that I will take any color in good condition and repaint. Or just buy new ARgh

Go on Instagram and search for ram parts, I see them occasionally in multiple colors. I bought one that way, out of Oklahoma and had to go get it, about 1500 miles one way. But for $400 it was cheap enough

Funny you should bring this up. I found one on facebook in FL. Was cheap enough and he would ship. I don't have Facebook, but wife does. Made all the arrangements and paid thru Paypal goods and services.

A day later, I get a "demand" from so called shipper wanting $535 for "refundable insurance" on the $350 hood I had Paypal'ed already. I called BS and put in a claim for never receiving item. Got the scammer shut down and he and shipper being investigated.

What an ordeal to go thru...... Too old for this S!!t

I've pretty much given up on it since the repaint is almost $700 on top of the hood cost.

Domonico Red great color, but not real popular where I live. Flame red far more common.
