What did you do to/with your second gen today?

Darn I think shipping costs wouldn't turn it into any kind of a deal for anyone lol! Freight isn't cheap! If you have a gooseneck or enclosed trailer and can make a trip get with a me a few months in advance and I can get you whatever parts you want or need.

i just did that last october ... went to TX and brung home a 62 dart ..... and a bed load of parts ....

Got mostly finished up with the exhaust but still need to 45 it, ordered new vacuum lines for the front axle because I’m ditching the solid axle shaft and ordered new timing cover gasket set so I can add some cam timing here soon.

Newb here, hello everyone. Sooooo err last November had everything from the intake manifold to block, valve covers n gaskets, timing chain, gears, gasket, oil pan, hi flow pump, melling pickup tube, kegger mod, crank seal etc. other day coolant gushing from the timing weep hole …as u can see they went absolutely awol with ultra black rtv…clogged up the water pump galleys…im livid. That’s my truck it took them 3 months to basically destroy it i had that much done in 7 hours yesterday and if I had purchased the spanner for fan clutch it would have been 3hrs…so I have leak at timing cover weep hole even after I pulled everything off to whee u see now. I have to keep going to the chain I guess ehh? Also I think it’s 100% my intake manifold is leaking again too bc he reused the pan bolts and just messed up on almost everything that was replaced…o yea distributor and cap n ignition/timing were all done too at that time…

Has anybody possibly come into the issue of your truck having a hard time shifting? This is in regards to automatics. I ran my truck bone dry of transmission fluid. Added some in, and it’s been holding for like a week now. It is a little overfilled. But when it’s having a hard time shifting and I fight against it, like if I press more onto the gas pedal a popping noise from under the truck happens. I do have a lot of front ens steering problems and my transmission pan is leaking. There is a check engine light on but know where I can go can you get the codes. I don’t know if something is up with the electrical connections or what. Previous owners of this truck definitely put it through H**L

Likely your trans pan gasket or coming out of the tail shaft, but could also be a line. Did you use the correct fluid atf+4? Also once full drive around for 20 mins then shift it through all gears again for 30 seconds each and then check idling in neutral.

Stole the radio from one of the parts rams, and installed it in the 91 Cummins. Now the radio works and I have Casette too! The speakers are trash so those will be next!

Try a bottle of transx…also u have ur tv cable that runs through back of throttle body that needs to be in sync with the throttle plates on the body. These trucks don’t like to get below 1/8 tank either or they don’t like to shift. There’s also a thumb dial behind kick panel on steering column to line up the shift indicator in the window. 1 more possibility is the bushings on the shift linkage underneath r rotten. I have a 99 R/T 1500 sport solar yellow had since 2002 with 18,200mi on it now @ 200,000

So the keen eye wins the prize…anyone see an issue with the water jacket? Lol ill wait. Anywho. I went n bought all the gaskets and from looks of my throttle body housing the pan gasket has held up, only residual stuff ij there. Might pull it anyway there’s still a chance that there’s small vacuum or exhaust manifold gasket’s were done wrong, sad because this thing runs like a ***** ape by far rhe most reliable and best handling 2nd gen I’ve ever driven. I also rebuilt entire front end about 4yeaes ago, everything moog with grease fittings, adjustable trac bar, sway links, steering box drag link, end links, sway bar and tie rod ends. Ball joints, u joints, bearings and coils. Upper and lower control arms,, center trans/driveline damper/mount. 3/4ton leafs n extra leaf added also a rancho steering damper. They also sell a kit now for around 100$ that helps support the steering gearbox and stability of the front end if u have that death wobble or it’s dog legging

Today, draining oil pan, the 2 block coolant plugs that 99% don’t ever open and thoroughly flushing the block, heater core and degreasing the trans cooler, oil cooler, radiator amd engine bay. It’s amazing the amount of air flow that gets slowed down by having dirty fins on outside of thess rads etc…pulling timing cover and replacing the gaskets behind it. Crank seal is good still but have an extra in case, never saw 1 pi$$ coolant from the timing cover weep hole like this but when u have 3 tubes of rtv sealant in each side of the housing somewhere something has to fail lol…im also suing these guys for negligence, incompetence and just for plain out misleading, withholding information (like he added stop leak to mt cooling system) after i paid 1600$ for a top end and front rebuild. Had everything down to timing chain and gears in front, to block up top , new hi flow pump n melling pickup tube…”if u ever drop pan get the tube because original mopar design is literally a sludge trap the melling doesn’t have that capsule shaped opening or the round trap around it only the screen n no it doesn’t suck mt pan dry with the pump…in fact the engine woke up after i let the chain stretch a little n broke it in. Only complaint is the labor has failed n im doing it again but myself this time n from now on in future, a man should know his truck anyway

Picked up some bfgs on Chevy wheels in the wrecker Sunday, tossed them in this Pacifica, used the tire changer in the off-road recovery ram to mount them on the 1st gen Cummins wheels. Changing tires is hard work I now have a greater respect for the $10-15 a tire mounting!

Also had to change out alternator on the off road recovery ram

Didn't take any pics but I pulled the accessory drive, water pump, crank pulley and timing cover off and advanced my cam. It was installed at 112-2 and now it's at 112+4 so 6 degrees of advance. Exhaust note seems a little more crisp which i wasn't expecting. Now I just need to datalog with FRP

Did some tweaking of my TB and that fixed a lot of my little tuning/drivability problems. Should make Ryan's job a lot easier. Truck drives awesome though now with the new motor

Looks pretty good! What size of tires are you using?

For me, the ole girl's been seeing a lot more action over the last couple months. The Honda's exhaust went to hell and finally got her through the exhaust shop to get it all sorted. Then, a week later, the alternator decided to give up the ghost, so I'll have the "pleasure" of sorting that out this weekend.

Made two trips to the local Menard's for roofing shingles, carrying ~1,000 pounds per trip. Not particularly noteworthy, but my rear shocks are T-O-A-S-T. Truck still rode surprisingly nice and the ole 360 didn't hardly notice they were back there to begin with, even going up the hills.

I learned that weekend that roofing really, REALLY sucks.
