hotkarl - If the truck is coming out that good why not keep it?

Did do much with the 04 yesterday other than drove it home from my gal's house.

Just tired of putting money into it.
I think I've got 17 or 18k into it.
In 2 years.
I spent around 10k the first 2 or 3 months I had it.

Hindsight. Coulda bought a new truck and had a squat payment if I put that much down. But I didn't want a payment again and that is why I bought used.
Somebody is gonna get a helluva truck. It's nearly new at this point. I've done almost everything on it plus upgrades.
I just want a new truck now.

Same here - I didn't put that much into mine, but I did a lot of mods that were not needed, so I need to incorporate that to the money I put into the truck.

Buffed the clear on my radio trim...for no reason... Because I have a double din in my 02 that's going in the 07, so I'll have to hack up & mod this bezel. But I'll just repaint it when I paint the truck. Was mainly wanting to see how it will look with the rest of the accent pieces.

I need some new headlights. My clear coat on them is peeling off, and I want to do led bulbs for all of the outside lights.

clear corners on the daily as my hold me over until I finished up my custom retrofit, which I did this weekend, now to just install it, started with aftermarket lights, did a full satin black paint job, then removed and replaced the projector with a Bi-Xenon MH1 projector with 5k HIDs and finished them off with some bright ass red halos to match the truck :naughty:

Installed AN braided trans cooling lines. Water/**** all installed and dialed in. And here's a picture of the Boost gauge and Trans temperature gauge (both LED). The boost gage goes bright when the W/M activates. Plus the gas tank doesn't show.

One of my lower shock studs broke when I busted a shock last month and I put a bolt in there temporarily, but decided to go ahead and order all new shock studs. The cheapest I could find them was $9 each online. $9 each for those little tiny studs is ridiculous.

What grit you use?

Start with 320, ten 600, then 800 then 1000, then 2000, then i even go to 3000 and finish with 5000, and then hit with the polisher, makes em crystal clear, these were yellow, scratched and beat up when i got them

Do you put anything on them to protect them from UV after the process is done? I did a set years ago on another car of mine and they looked great for a couple months, but then ended up looking worse than when I started so I've been hesitant to do the set on my Ram.

I sanded mine down, then spray them with rustolium clear. They come out great. The clear spray is non yellowing and uv protestant.
