What did you do to your Gen3 today?

This fix is not going to be perfect. I know that going into it, but its only gonna be around $500 and time. Maybe one day Ill get a new bed but for now this will do. Plus it will give me some experience in paint work and working on vehicles in general as I don’t do it on a daily basis.

Im sure you already know this but be careful when welding sheet metal, very easy to warp it

Hey guys I’m new here but what I did today falls in this category. I own a 04 ram 1500 slt. I took out the 4 to 7 pin trailer plug and installed the oem 7 pin trailer plug. Part number is on the picture. The install is pretty straight forward. Next is the brake controller. I searched everywhere and couldnt find the blue plug . I can push a button and the dash says tow/haul but no brake controller plug.

Came home from work and got the passenger side manifold gasket fixed up. Went really easy, which is the exact opposite of how I expected a job like this to go lol

Had to do a startup with no manifolds real quick too haha

Well where to start so far today...

Well i tried out some smoked headlights on my 08

Then i got my wheels and tires all put together and ready for my blue truck!

I finished red tinting the ugly ass chrome tail lights, i really like the full red-out look on em...




Compared to the light smoke black ones..

Then i did some interior painting for my black truck, getting the interior colormatched for what the exterior is going to be like...

Bought some cheap stocks so now my truck is able to fit on the uhaul trailer leaving in 4 days a lot of work still!!!
