Yesterday I got the second coat of bed liner on my bumper so I feel a lot better about the thickness and its durability against Unidentified Flying Objects. Also while I was on that I took the headlights out and took some (a lot, actually) elbow grease and PlastX to the lens. It wasn't a "haze" but more of the spray-on clearcoat didn't have a smooth finish so the lights looked fogged. Anyways, I spent hours finishing that up and I eventually ran out of time to get it perfect, or take pictures, cuz I had to get to a movie date on time lol but I have 1 picture showing a comparison of how much better these lights look

They aren't perfectly clear but the light output is a night-and-day difference. One day soon I might hit it again with more compound to smooth out some small parts I missed but overall really happy with the end result

You should try the mother’s or McGuire’s (can’t remember witch) headlight restore kit, it comes with an attachment for your drill, literally ten minutes per side and they come out nearly new condition.

I looked at those two kits when I went to buy some towels and was like "nahhhh I can do it by hand"

I'm not gonna make that mistake again..

Nope I'm on the site on my computer, I got the pic off my phone and put it on my computer, shrunk it down because the picture was HUGE, then just clicked upload a file at the bottom. Its the way I've always done it and I guess its always worked for me in the past

It was that time. Truck wouldn't align cause the bushings were worn out in the lower control arms. Decided to buy new ones and a new rack and pinion. As well as 4 new door handles. All that stuff is 11 years old and the original parts. Hopefully she drives nicely now. a1444ea3d166b2e18c0e6531b4486400.jpg

The only way you are going to get much better than that is to really sand them good and machine polish them

Got in the truck around noon today to run to the store and really noticed how hot the headliner was. I leave my sunglasses tucked between the headliner and sun visor and the sunglasses were hot when I put them on. The weren't even in the sun. So, I decided to go ahead a drop the headliner and sound deaden and insulate the roof. Took about 3 hours to complete and I left the headliner in the truck. Only way I would have been able to pull it out completely was to remove at least one front seat, probably both. Anyhow, it's all done and back together. Should be much cooler now and driving to the store, I really notice how much quieter the cab is. I have all 4 doors done as well. Still need to do the back wall and the floor. Eventually.

The 2, black squares on the roof are from the factory. The do absolutely nothing to help deaden the roof panel. I left them in place as they were stuck there pretty good. I've seen some that were falling off so people would remove them completely.

Finished my hvac box repair. New evap and heater cores + new aluminum doors and actuators/cams.

Defrost doesn't seem to wanna work, still. And there was a mishap or two, but hopefully when I get it charged it'll all be back to normal. ((heat sure works good!))

Here's what the old evaporator looked like. Think it was the source of the leak?

Quick question;

Auto parts stores don't show a fuel filter for my 07 4.7 but RockAuto shows this (see pic). Who is right? Since I'm going to have the bed lifted I might as well replace this if it is in fact for my truck.

Any input would be greatly appreciated. 7043ad73f31b38e74649519056103c85.jpg

Got them off Amazon. 12"x12" GTMat Onyx sheets are the squares for vibration and sound dampening and the insulation/sound deadener is by Noico.

I know the Hemi trucks have their fuel filter in the tank on the fuel pump, and they really aren’t changeable. I could be wrong but I doubt there’s much reason to have a different pump style between the two, unless it has to do with the flex fuel system
