The '06 starting having some click-no start conditions that progressively got worse, I tracked it down to the starter relay. Luckily on my '06 it was a $20 relay behind the TIPM rather than on the TIPM itself.

Soon after the AC condenser fan decided to kill over, so replaced that as well. I replaced it already 6 years ago, not sure of the typical life span of these condenser fans but I'm sure the cheapo part store ones aren't made of the highest quality materials anyways.

I had to replace the one on the truck I'm driving last month. I think it had been replaced prior in 2017 or 2018 according to the maintenance records. Maybe lasted 10-15K miles? I think both replacements were VDO brand.

Yeah I don't remember the brand of the old one I had, but this new one is just a Duralast. Probably not the highest quality but lifetime warranty is quite handy to have.

I do have a VDO blower motor on the HVAC when that went out about 4 years ago--Been trouble-free so far, but has always been noticeably louder than the stock one was and has a somewhat annoying whistling noise at full blast.

I have a replaced engine that a tick is going on. I have low idle (200) so I ordered a new PCM by Flagshipone.com now awaiting. Today am putting her on
my shop lift as my new front 4wd shocks arrived for my 2wd 2004 hemi truck, so this is the chance to inspect my heat shields for any broken exhaust bolts.
I suspect this is the ticking. She has 16,000 on this new engine. Idle on these trucks should be 750rpm, there is NO ADJUSTING idle rpms as this is controlled by PCM.
When hemi engines idle goes lower than 650rpm the oil pressure begins to drop, and when goes lower drops to about 0 oil lubrication. Lifter failure results.

In the past year, I've replaced the Amp PowerSteps (second set since new), sanded and repainted the hood (looks better than original!), replaced the tires, replaced the batteries with Napa AGM batteries, and replaced the entire set of battery cables.

Today, I looked at the truck and thought, "I've put lots of effort into this...hope it goes another 150,000 miles."

Never owned a diablosport. Does it shut off mds? How much are you asking?
It should, I had a 2003 so no MDS to shut off so I don't know for sure. PM me, they frown upon sales in open forum.

Some of you might remember that I inherited my dad's truck when he passed [https://www.ramforum.com/threads/i-inherited-my-dads-2004-5-9l-cummins.206902/]. It sat for years before I was able to get it transferred and titled/registered and all that business.

My dad absolutely LOVED this truck and I've come to have the same sentiment now! It's been little more than a year since I got it. I've put about 16,000 miles on it and she continues to run like a champ.

Long story short, I've transformed my dad's truck into my truck and one day my truck should be one of my son's truck.

In addition to the normal/regular maintenance stuff, I started the transformation with minor cosmetic details like removing chrome and rebadging in black. I added Steelcraft front and rear bumpers, did a front leveling kit, removed chrome toolbox and replaced with black one. Went to change the rear diff oil and hated not having a drain plug, so I just replaced it with a BD Diesel Diff cover to make it easier in the future.

My major piece of the tranformation was to do a dually conversion. I did all the work myself. I used Arrowcraft hub adapters for front and rear, steel dually wheels and new tires, added 6000 lb. rear bump stops, sourced dually fenders from a 2007 Ram 3500, installed RECON overhead cab lights and topped it off with a textured Raptor Liner paint job. Here's a couple of before/after pics. After pics were taken before the paint cured, so I haven't put the toolbox or badging back on yet.

Finally after years of waiting I got the airbags that were on recall. Replaced them and have the old ones out for return. What a hassle to it was to get them.
