So I searched the forum for a thread like this and didn't find anything. I figured it would be fun to have a thread that everyone can watch what everyone is doing each week.

This week I put on Steelcraft nerf bars, and right now I'm getting the permaplating put on the truck. This way it gets a real good bath.
I put a new transmission

I installed a new PCV valve since the truck cleared 100K and I replaced a broken parking brake release cover (which is a kinda PITA to accomplish.)

I love horse

I remember being little, not even in my teens yet and every once in a while my grandmother would watch us kids when we came home from school for lunch

I can still smell what the house smelled like when she had that horse meat going

I'm sure you know, but it is a rather tough meat, and best prepared like a roast or in a slow cooker

My grandma had this cast iron pan shed use, and shed start cooking it early in the morning
By the time we got home for lunch the whole house would be filled with a very savory smell, but we wouldn't be allowed to eat it (and it wouldn't be ready) untill Dad came home around 6

By then, it was the most tender but stringy almost black meat you ever had

Man i miss that

Yes sir, My grandmother made it when I was a kid. It was also(probably still is) available at Latin restaurants. We call that tasajo. Its been years since I've had it but yes; tough, stringy but super tender all at the same time.

My experience with horse is not that though. We saw many that went to butchers but for us they were for things like trail riding and pleasure riding. Friends of my dads growing up would barrel race and such. I may want to get back into all of that soon and show my daughter. She's six and has been on horseback since she's been able to sit. I want her to learn and hopefully continue to love it.

Nothing wrong with that at all, anything you can do to keep them young'uns outside

It takes some serious skill to do barrel racing, how those girls (why have i only seen girls do it?) not fly off in the corners is beyond me

When i was in my teens my sister had a horse she took care off and its stable was roughly halfway between my highschool and home

One day is ridden my dirtbike to school and it broke down on the way home, i pushed it into the stable and rode the horse home

My dad was not impressed with me

I popped the tiny metal discs out rubber insert of the “panic” portion of the key fobs. I got tired of the hair trigger panic button activation.

DNF’ed the cooling system.

I installed GM style power folding mirrors. I still need to wire in the reverse and DRL. That'll happen soon. HUGE improvement in rear and blind spot visibility.

UPDATE: Wired up the backup and DRLs. Not everyone's cup of tea but I really like these mirrors. Cheers!

I started reading the forums again......

I have upgraded to a UAQ system, picked up a AC USB dongle for wireless, order wire and 2.8mm female pin to change wiring to keyed vs battery to leave the AC dongle plugged in. Changed low beam, high beam and fogs to Fahren LED's, aimed headlights.

I also keep reading the forums, so just had my OBDlinkMX+ delivered by Amazon, so just activated windows down with key fob and changed the splash screen on the radio for the heck of it, I'm gonna change it back to RAM, cause I really like the RAM splash screen.
