Replaced the motor and gear on the passenger side mirror. The worst part was the darn puddle light connector. There’s not much room to get your fingers in to disconnect it. Otherwise it was just time consuming to disassemble everything. At least the plastic gear is now all metal.IMG_1807.jpeg

Speaking of Pedal Commanders, mine will only go up and down in the current zone, such as Sport. Previously (unless I am losing my mind) the + and - buttons would let me jump zones when it got to the end of the range. Anyone had this issue before?

So I searched the forum for a thread like this and didn't find anything. I figured it would be fun to have a thread that everyone can watch what everyone is doing each week.

This week I put on Steelcraft nerf bars, and right now I'm getting the permaplating put on the truck. This way it gets a real good bath.
I washed & waxed my truck, followed the directions, applying to the entire vehicle than remove.
Last time did 1/2 at a time, was a little more work doing it the whole truck but it definitly had time to dry.

Suspension rebuild continues.
New rear coils did not lift as much as advertised so I need a spacer. But the left is lower than the right so I'll be getting two sizes to even be out.
I drove, parked, measured. Drove, parked, measured.

Got a head start on replacing my hubs after work yesterday since I have to help the wife go watch the grandkids and dogs so my daughter and son in-law can go to the Navy khaki ball.
The hub shocker tool worked amazingly. That's only a 4lb mini sledge and I didn't wail on it. Was stuck on there pretty good too since I live in PA and truck is 8 years old with 76,000 miles. Got to finish putting driver side together and then knock out passenger side. Took me a while to sweep hickory nuts off my driveway and get the truck set up on jackstands or I might have finished last night. Also doesn't help that it gets dark by 7 and I didn't get started with everything till 5pm.

There I towed a short ram with a short ram. https://youtu.be/A5924zRrlU8

Also before anyone comments about tongue weight the rental trailers force the towed vehicle to be all the way forward - that's where the tire cups, straps and safety chains are.
Thats a great find, especially since it was part of your childhood!

Its funny, I've been watching your channel for years now and I never realized you were on here as well

Finished up the driver side and passenger side yesterday morning. Went really smooth with the hub buster tool. The hubs were rust jacketed pretty bad. Pic is right before I knocked it off. Didn't have to resort to my big sledge either. The 4lb mini sledge knocked it off in 6 or less whacks. Still hear a weird sound with slight vibration on full lock right turns, but truck is much smoother now. I'm thinking although the rotor and pads look fine that they're the culprit now. Sound goes away when braking and cv axles and hubs are new. Definitely not a ball joint or tie rod sound. I didn't put the rotors on, I was out of work following my back surgery 2 years or so ago and had the shop do it to pass inspection. For now I'm waving the white flag. Almost all suspension components are new and brakes work fine so not concerned it's a safety issue. 1000003312.jpg
