Took mine back to the dealer for the 2nd time in 2 months for transmission issues. First time it was in, they replaced the transmission solenoid and it took 2 1/2 weeks as the parts were on back order. The truck would shift extremely hard into 3rd and 4th gear after sitting at work all day. After it was fixed the first time, it ran great, but the issue slowly creeped back up and last night the check engine light came on and truck went into limp mode. Not really sure where to go from here, truck is a 2014 with 25,000 miles. :lazer:

Hi d21arren,

Sorry to hear about your transmission concerns! If you decide to revisit your local dealership for further diagnosis I'd be happy to offer assistance if needed. Just PM our page with your VIN and let me know.

Just driving it back and forth to work and the gym.
I hope to give her a nice hand wash on Sunday since the weather will be a bit better as well. :favorites13:

BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL with that! i cant say that strong enough, i looked at buying one of them to find out they are illegal in many states, including texas, if i remember correctly its treated no different than pointing a fake gun at someone, ill have to look it up but check your laws or maybe ask a LEO you see on the side of the road before you get to comfortable with it...

here is the notice for people buying one:

Biting my fingers to keep from ordering more upgrades for mine. (Whenever I talk about wanting to order something her eyes glaze over)

I bought a used '12 Express CC back in February and have done a lot to it already as far as interior upgrades go and some other stuff.

My neighbor invited my wife & I to go on a cross country overland trip with him & his wife in 2 years. He just got back from a 3 week trip and the photos are incredible. According to him, I'll have to go up a couple inches and put some bigger tires on it. The wife was there for the conversation and she wants to go so she agreed to it. So, at least I have that going for me.

4 new tires and state inspection is due for her vehicle this week so I have to behave. My next planned upgrade is swapping out my Recon halo headlights for the 13' and up stock LED sport projectors with the diode dynamics white switchbacks. I already have an HID kit installed, I'm just waiting to see a good price for the projectors.

Once that's done, I'll post my Recon headlights up for sale here when I meet the 50 post requirement. I've already added and removed the TYC sport projectors from my amazon shopping cart about 5 times now. So, I guess I'll go outside and wash it for now. Keep posting, I'm living vicariously through you guys for the time being. 312abdd5a9d68fc2c8b6d00976cad488.jpg

Took these apart. Stripping the chrome today and painting them. My order from Retroshop should be here tomorrow morning, so hopefully these are done by Saturday and in my truck.

No problem. Be sure to Google Rock Auto 10% Promo Code and get the Promo Code (its a bunch of numbers and letters) so the lights go down to $424 after shipping. You enter the Promo Code into the "How Did You Find Us" box during checkout and hit enter on your keyboard.

After getting rear ended last month, and getting the tailgate repaired, I finally got around to putting it back together and back in. Left most of the emblems off and swapped the chrome ram for a black one.

Well, dealer called today and stated that I will be getting a complete new transmission installed next week. Can't complain about that. Hoping this fixes the issue and I can go back to relying on this vehicle for long drives now. :favorites13:

Glad to hear. My 2014 had a new tranny and torque converter installed at 38K miles. Had been shifting roughly and sounded like a turbine whining for about 5K miles before I took it in for TSB work and ended up leaving with the new tranny.

Mine was a Pentastar with 8 speed. The 8 speed for the v6 Pentastar is built by FCA. Coincidence?

My 2016 Longhorn is a Hemi with ZF built 8 speed. 21K miles so far so good.
