Replaced the front axle disconnect actuator on my 2014, 4x4 didn't work and was getting a C147B code, took longer to get my tools together than it did to replace it. Piece of cake

Playing around with a few different grill & headlight combinations. Thoughts???

Option 1:

Chrome OEM Grill / Chrome Headlights

Option 2:

Chrome OEM Grill / Black Headlights

Option 3:

Black T-Rex Grill / Black Headlights

I say option 2. Unless you open up the chrome headlights and put in a clear reflector. The orange reflector just sticks out like a sore thumb to me. If you did that then I'd say option 1. Either way it's a nice looking truck!

Appreciate the feedback.

I liked the T-Rex grill for its strength, and light at in the grill….. but it just doesn’t ‘flow’ well with the build I have.

Opt1 is what I’ve been running for over a year. No complaints, I‘m going with the thought of ‘ instead of a blue hat, wonder how a black one would look.

Finding that balance of just enough chrome & just enough black without overdoing either one. Nice to have choices too :waytogo:

Fairly sure I’ll have a T-Rex grill up for sale soon :favorites37:

Yeah, the T-Rex grill is just too 'plain' for my taste.. too much area not broken up with anything... I think Option 2 is the best as well.

I’m going to say option 2. I do like option 3 if it could be broken up with something.

Wondering how it might look chromed….. but then it might look too much like a Chevy grill :waytogo:

Finally got rid of my stock fog lights. Bought a cheap set off amazon as a starting point to upgrade in the future. Not entirely impressed on them during install. The bracket doesn't fit quite like it should, I made it work for now but it'll take some trimming to fit like designed.

Finally went up to Superior CB shop to have a little ‘magic’ done to the unit and install.

Was going to do this earlier, but got side tracked with swapping out for the black dash and just didn’t make sense doing so prior.

Still have to mount the mic somewhere, as well as a speaker. Being mounted in the console, the speaker within th unit is worthless, so using an external is a must. Just have to play around with where and how I’ll mount it.

Deposit down, parts ordered, appointment booked. Finally moving forward with the TrueTrac install.

Not regearing right now, I'm going to wait and do the 3rd gen front diff swap and steeper gears, probably 4.10s but I keep debating on 4.56s also so who knows.

I was due for an oil change so I figured it was a perfect time to install my PacBrake oil filter relocation kit. Also installed the Brandmotion wireless charger, and finally reprogrammed my tire size with AlfaOBD. Nice to wrap up these little projects.

Drove it through the snow for the first today with the new tires, the BF GOODRICH KO2's.

Pic for reference after they got mounted months ago.

I have all good things to say about the PacBrake relocation kit. Glad I did mine the first oil change of ownership. Last oil change I switched the Mopar 339 filter for the Mopar 899. Interestingly enough, the larger filter was also cheaper. Clears the frame rail with plenty of space.
