Are you posting from a laptop or phone? Pictures are easy to post.

When writing your post, place the cursor where you want the picture, then click the picture image at the top of the page between the chain link and smiley face.

Go to the picture you want to post, double tap it, and it will post in your reply, like the image below.

I guess I was lucky. I never had a second's problem with 95 or XP, and much less intrusive snooping.

I'm far from knowing a lot about operating systems. I just want it simple, and to do what I need, which isn't all that much.

IIRC, Win95 was one of many OS's that the hard drives used to magically consume more space than windoze explorer could justify.

That's because ms was creating a hidden shadow drive that contains copies of all urls, files opened or created, and copies of jpgs and movies watched.

This isn't a theory but a fact that I personally verified.

Kind of creepy, that Bill Gates guy.

I hate whem my work computer updates (Windows10)

I lose all my preferences, homepage, search engine, etc. It's really annoying. And we have a service that adminstrates it, so I cannot change it.

Yes, the professional versions of Win2K, XP, Win10 or Win11 have the administrative elements that lock the user's out of almost anything the corporate suits choose.

The companies I worked for had a professional version of Win95 while I was using 98 & 98 second edition before they jumped to XP and finally Win10.

When I retired, my group was privileged to have a power user status allowing us to install and delete programs but we still couldn't do too much without commandeering the local system administrator dude.

I hadn't thought of that, I'll take a close look. Thank you.

Pardon me for cluttering up your thread with windoze crap.

Well, I have a love / hate relationship with my computer..... about 98% hate. I use it because in today's world it is a necessary evil. I signed up for a course to learn more last year but it was a disorganized cluster (put your favorite word here) ... I didn't stay long.

If you own the PC and OS, you can fix all that crap to have it function to your preference.

My PCs will report on available updates and I choose which I want and ignore the others.

Updates never happen until I request them. You too can fix Win10 or Win11.

My last puter before this one was an ancient full tower, with an AMI 2009 motherboard. I tweaked systems and components, and tweaked and tweaked, but it just got to the point could tweak no more, and winders 11 coming out kind of doomed it. SO I bought a "fancy" gaming machine, since U just cannot really get a General PC anymore. Of course I had to get a stand a long CD writer/player. Than I went in after all updated, and turned off every silly lil gaming junk running not needed, so at least it is close to a basic PC and not all the flim flam running. Guess showing my age.

Glad new PC is winders 11 home, so I can tweak out a lot of stuff I have no need for: Like AI junk, One Drive, all that added stuff not needed. And than I bug U when I get buggered, lol.

Yup, agree 100% .... 95 and XP were good. The intrusion that we are subjected to today is over the top. Apparently W 11 is even worse.
I don't know about that, I just had to get a new laptop, windows 11, kids said get a I pad, Wife plays games on one , But I want a real key board on my stuff.
I usally take a picture with the old camera, load it to pictures, and then add to my posts.
I seldom use the phone, but have not had trouble posting a picture, if I don't lose it.
I am in Canada, but my old brain still measures in inches. 9mm is easy , that's what my pistol shoots , A hair smaller then 10mm socket that everyone don't have.
17mm, I would have to check that.

So was this inside the motor? you have it opened up, or it was just laying some where ?

There's so much bloatware, crapware, whatever you prefer to call it, that comes pre-loaded on every system these days, it's a good bit of time spent just getting rid of it!

WAT little extra stuff was on this gaming PC, I lost. My main drive went kablooey and I did not have the tools or software to recover, so took to PC guru in town, who got PC back up by wiping and reloading an earlier version of Winders 11 Home. SO I had to download all of the updates. But I lost all of the included software that came with this gaming platform, so I just downloaded what I absolutely needed, like LED lighting control (Mystic), and I loaded the rest that I had on CD and pulled from my 2009 AMI machine. OF course, I had to use the CD drive that is an attached external since PC's no longer have CD drives, lmao.

It is getting the photo onto a file on the computer, something went "sideways" on me and I can't seem to get it sorted out.

So you did not read my question on where you found this piece?
Why not try another picture, I find that If I can't find a picture, it will pop up when I don't want it.

It appeared when I took the front cover off. I'm not sure if it is even from this engine.

I think that if it has double keyways cut into it it’s to either drive something or keep something still a dowel to keep the cover from flexing. Look for a exploide picture of the motor and see if you can identify it

Ya...a pic would be nice.
I can't think of anything from the description.
Wasn't there always a rumor over tbe years that XP was the greatest version?...I liked it the best.
Absolutely couldn't stand 10 and whatever is around today(11?)I dont care for either....I did think there were settings on all of them for manual updates though..I dunno.
