Ok so if I check the back plug and there are existing wires which correspond to the front plug locations, I should still be able to do this?

Will that DRL wiring harness extension you mentioned have wires with sealed plugs so I can just remove the old plugs and insert the new wires (on the front plug)?

Yes you need to check for the wires on the back as they go to the BCM which control the DRLs.
The picture I posted is of the front plug and the wiring that was added. As for the weather seals you have to remove the ones that are in there to insert the new wires that will have weather seals on them already. There is also the cap on the inside of the front plug that needs to be pryed up slightly before inserting the new wires.
