4" on 35's

Too big for a level to small for 6". Its address has superlift in it. If it were body you could see the E brake line drooping along the frame.

Ok well I like the look of it a lot. I've got a black one just like it and I was going to put a 2.5fr 1.5rear leveling kit and the 1.5 body lift with some 34s. Maybe 275 65 20. Hopefully get close to the same look. Has anyone heard if the 2013s have the shudder problem in 4wd with the leveling kit like the older models? Thanks guys

Also will a 34" tire hurt my power and mpg much? I have the Hemi 6 spd with 3.55s? I want to make it taller but I don't want to make it downshift everytime I hit a hill with cruise on after I put bigger tires on it like my old Chevy did. I hated that damn thing because of that! Lol

Any time you throw on bigger tires it will deff hurt your mpg's.

I say do a level and a 3" body lift on 35's
Do some all terrain 35's like the truck you have posted has on it and it may even help your truck performance wise if they are considerably lighter and lowering your rpms at higher speed. Here is a pic of my truck 2.5 level front, 1.75 spacer rear, 3" body.

Mattman,
I am planning to do a lift on my truck. I am having trouble deciding which route to take. Suspension lift or leveling kit with body lift. My question is, how hard is it to do the body lift? What are the price differences between suspension and body? Nice truck btw. That's pretty much the look I'm going for. I have a picture of the exact look but tapatalk will not let me upload it. The link is below. Thanks for any info you have.

Also, I have been told that with the suspension lift I would not be able to use my factory wheels. It looks to me like the wheels you have on your truck are the factory chrome clad 20 inch wheels. Is this correct?

-Yea, I had factory 20s with that set up. You only need 1/4" spacers to make them work. Its not the suspension lift that makes them unusable. Its the width of the tires being put on the rims. Use 1/4" spacer and you can fit a 35x12.50
-The truck you posted is a 4" on what looks to be a well worn down 35" tire

-4" suspension lift plus install and alignment will put you in the 2,000+ range easily
-2.5" level kit (130 or bils 220) self installed, plus a 3" body lift (400) with a $600.00 install, and a $70 alignment would put you at 1200.00 the cost of just the 4" lift before install.

Do you have to do a level if your doing a lift or does the lift genereally level it? I am just trying to figure out what to do first...

I agree with everyone. It does appear to be a 4" lift on 35's

The RCX lift kit seems to level the truck out the best. Aside from the higher end lifts in which you can pick your rear spacer. But I wouldn't like getting that much lift from just a spacer.

On a suspension lift you can't do a "level" as they lift with a spacer on top of the strut, dropped the differential, and steering knuckles.. You can put a bilstein 5100 strut in while you do the lift (or before even) and it has 4 settings of height that will be added to what you are already gaining in the front. I always forget the settings they offer and get called out on it when I post. But mine are at 2.1. I think with an rcx and the setting below 2.1 only the truck would have a nice leveled look.

Mattman do you prefer the 3" body lift over the 1.5? I'm also concerned about going to a 10 ply tire. Don't want the ride to be any rougher than it already is. Would the adjustable bilsteins help the ride with a heavy duty tire? Also which leveling kit do you guys prefer? I'm looking at the RC, autospring and Hbs all 2.5" or the bilsteins set at 2.8. Thanks again

Body lift will depend on preference really!
Its all in the height you prefer.
1.25" RCX
1.5" Zone
3" PA
Really comes down to preference

Many here run the 1.25" and 3"
The 1.5" Zone is fairly new (within 6 months)

As for level, all the ones you mentioned above with the exception of the Bilsteins will ride the same as they are only a strut spacer

As for the Bilsteins, its a 2 in 1 so to speak. Its a leveling shock and does improve your ride to support the level.

Hope this helps.
If you need any of these parts, let me know and Ill be glad to assist

Andrew

Do the 2013s get the 4wd shudder when leveled like the previous models? Well I was leaning towards the zone 1.5 body lift. I want whichever one is the easiest to put on. I have noticed that some leveling kits don't seem to give as much lift as others even though the are all advertised as a 2.5 level. Some have said they only got 2" out of a 2.5" spacer. I would prefer a steel spacer as they seem like they would last the longest. Do you know anyone that has used the autospring kit? I know they make good stuff. That's what all the ford guys use. I'm not sure about the PA 3" body lift. I don't want my frame to show or be able to see gaps

How hard is the 3" PA body lift to install yourself? I've put lifts and leveling kits on my previous jeep wranglers and trucks but have never installed a body lift. And how does the tow/receiver hitch look after body lift is installed? I want it to look just like factory. Don't want anything hanging down
