I'm running cooper STT pros. they are around 34.5 I believe. Trail grapplers soon I hope. Trying to decide if I want new rims or not. Might just toss a 3/8 inch spacer on to bump them out a bit and roll with different tires.

Looks like 35's won't be a problem then.

My truck rides much better with the new springs and shocks.

Enjoy your ride.

Awesome! That’s the same combo I was gonna do, then decided after a week of agonizing to do the king 2.5 package. I’ll have this truck for 10 years, so I wanted a rebuildable shock.

Hope they are worth the money...

No, but considerably less than even power wagon springs according to Thuren. He states its closer to half ton territory.

I dont take the truck off road enough to justify the King set up.

the website says the softride rear springs are much softer than factory springs and gives the 2500 a ride similar like a 1500 but makes no claims otherwise. plenty of half ton trucks have payload and towing capacity exceeding the stock pw. f150 with high capacity package is well beyond the pw limits

yea that’s what I was confused on, I’ll clarify with thuren and post their response. I know when first discussing the system, it was suggested to get some sumo springs to offset the change, when needing to tow.

he hasnt posted any difinitive payload or towing figures but rather just eluded to using common sense and good judgment. i dont see any reason he would divert from that stance as it puts the liability on the customer if they not competant enough to understand what theyre getting theirself into. i would do the same if i were him

They’re soft. Maybe softer than my 1500 lol. If you’re towing often you’ll want help. Either bags or timbrens. Or live with riding on bumps if towing heavy and the Cali lean.

This is some cool info straight from Don Thuren regarding payload with his springs

“Payload capacity is unchanged, but the rear springs are softer, so you get more sag with the same weight in the bed, compared to the oem rear coils”

in my email to him I asked about sumo springs as an addition to his suspension set up,

“Sumo springs are AWESOME. They barely hurt the ride quality, they improve the handling, and hold up the rear with added weight when needed. We are working on our own modular Sumo spring kit for these trucks we HOPE we can release in a couple months.”

“When there is no weight added to the truck bed, you can swap the Sumo's in 30 seconds(the kit we have coming soon anyways) and have all the travel and better ride quality...”

How cool is that. I’ll take a set good sir.

i been meaning to email thuren but havent got around to it yet. a optional 1 or 1.5 rear spring to go with the 1.5 fronts would be nice for the people that want it. imo he catered to the leveled brodozer crowd and forgot about everyone else.

Just go with a 1” rear spacer. Boom, done. Many do it, and it works well with no issues.
