Waiting on some snow to test them out in that regard, however the siping of the tire looks to be pretty decent.

I ran these on a GMC 1500 z71 years ago and absolutely loved them in the snow.

Pulled the trigger on 275 65 20 duratracs today. Need a snow rated tire for snowmobiling trips. Ordered them from Discount Tire cause the shops where I live came back with crazy high quotes. Should be here end of week, will post photos after install .

Whats the groups thoughts on

Toyo HT's

I am leaning towards them or Bridgestone Duelers
What you all think?
99% of my driving is on road, BUT I have a job where I have to be there no matter what the weather, THO we don't get much bad weather here in the Raleigh N.C area

I had a set of duelers on my wrangler and thought they did great. Good wear and great traction in winter weather.

Amazing tire. actual truck load range, quiet on the road, great traction in mud, snow and ice. I've owned several or the previous iteration of the AT and this tire does not

End of last month I got a set of Cooper Discoverer H/T Plus in stock 276/60r-20 size on sale $670.00 out the door. Keep in mind I live in So Cal, so we have two seasons summer and almost summer. I’ve put a few hundred miles on so far and am very pleased. Made a trip to what we call mountains and had a couple rainy days. Did great.

I just ordered a set of Cooper Discoverer A/TW 275/60r20s from Canadian Tire.
Reg $269.97 ea, on sale for $202.49 right now.
I should be getting a call tomorrow telling me they'll be in Friday, hopefully I'll get them installed then as well.

I can't get these or the Duratracs in Eastern Canada...both say sold out on CT site. Let me know how the Coopers are and what they look like.

I wanted the Duratrac but at $1209 I just couldn't so I bought a set of the Cooper Discoverer AT3. They look good, ride quiet and were reasonable at $200 each. Its hunting season now so we'll see how well hey do off-road.

I can get you a picture of them tomorrow when it's light out, but I can tell you how they're handling so far...
AMAZING!
The previous tires I had on were stock Goodyear crap. We have a decent amount of snow right now (currently in Lloydminster, Alberta) and I used to turn off the TCS and stay in 2wd for some fun sliding around corners and stuff. But if I ever wanted to actually get somewhere, I'd have to put it in 4Auto with TCS on to get an actual good grip.
Today, heading back from work, I decided to try having a bit of fun on the slippery roads, so I went 2wd and turned off TCS and tried sliding around... no dice. The only time I actually did a tiny fish-tail was in about 2 and a half inches of loose snow (or when I floored it on a somewhat icy patch of pavement). These things chew through the snow like it's nothing, and they grip the ice like it's just wet pavement. Super impressed so far.
Not sure what they're like on the highway for noise, but that'll probably be found out this weekend.

Getting a nice set of 32" tires given to me from a good buddy of mine. The only problem, is that I need I set of 20x9 wheels for them. Any ideas on what would make this look good with about two or three inches higher?ImageUploadedByTapatalk1418352478.631975.jpg

I have 275/65/20 nitto terra g2 going on next week. A LT tire that had a 50000 mile warranty. I had the older terra on my Titan. They worked great. Now they come with a mileage warranty, so hoping they didn't harder tire up to much, so that in the winter it's like a rock.

Why not try and find a set of 2014 Ram 1500 Sport wheels. They will look great on your 2nd gen. Here's what my stock wheels look like pre and post plastidip. ...shown with a 34x11 tire.

I put Toyo AT2's on in the stock size on 6,000km's ago and like the ride and handling.
Huge improvement over the stock Goodyears. Balanced up perfect with very little weights. Run nice a true. Perfect at higher speeds.

They are louder that the previous but not noticeable. I hear them only because i am listening for it. This is as expected for an AT tire.

Traction is great on all surfaces. I used to light up the GY's really easily on wet, these grab and go. So far have been better than i expected in the snow. Almost too good. Have to punch it to break the rear loose for fun slides. Don't need 4WD under normal driving conditions.

On ice, they are good. Together with the Traction control, have not let me feel at all out of control. Braking is solid when done properly.

Love the look of these and would get them again.

I currently have the Cooper LTZ's in 275/65/20 installed - to be honest the stock Goodyear Silent armors were a much better all-round tire.

the LTZ's are also much heavier than the Goodyear's (read as worse handling)

I just snagged a set of Cooper Discoverer S/T Maxx tires in 255/80/17, and they seem great so far across the board. Haven't found any snow yet, but mud, loose gravel, pavement, wet pavement, etc. they have performed well. Pretty good on road noise too, and the tread is quite aggressive, but doesn't seem to pick up and throw stones. They are available in 275/65/20, and discounttiredirect currently has a $40 rebate on a set of 4.

EDIT: Somebody asked about replacing the spare... I didn't as I am not sure if I will want my next set to be the same tread pattern in the same size, etc. Just make sure your sizes are similar, and if you have a LSD you may have to swap your spare to a front tire, and that tire to the back. Or just carry a compressor, and a plug kit like I do. Barring of course the situation where your tire totally disintegrates.
