I have to rid myself of the stock HP's before they kill me. I have been looking at everything I could find with my focus being to remain with the stock size 275-60/20 although one dealer suggested going to the 275-65/20.

Tell me what you are running, what you think of them and the size.

Goodyear Wrangler Adventure 275/65/20. Why did I buy them? Reviews speak for themselves. Really good tire for me so far.

I have nitto terra graps, i had them in 275 65 r20 and now in 325 65 r18(35x13). When i had them on the stock rims they didnt seem that loud but in this bigger size they are quite a bit louder than the HPs. Cant comment on the life of them cause I got rid of the first set for bigger tires and this set Ive only had for 2k miles. I do notice they like to slip in the rain in this bigger size. They did pretty good off road in the smaller size and about the same in the bigger size. I did have cooper discoverer stts and they were a nice tire for a mud terrain.

I'm running Toyo MT 295/60/20 on -24 20x10 Fuel hostages with a 2.5 Level for now. I plan on upgrading to Blisten 5100 at 2.75" front & 1" rear with rough country 1.25 Body lift.

Is there any strength to the rumour that moving to a larger than stock tire like the 275/65R20 increases shuddering in the transfer case or driveline? I want to upsize but am reluctant if it will result in driveline issues.

A local shop recommended those to me yesterday. Look nice so I checked other Cooper tires and found the ST MAXX which looks great as well allbeit more of an off road tire.

Does a taller tire like the 275-65/20 cause any issues or problems?

Fairly quite on pavement, excellent grip in rain

So far they've been awesome on snow/ice too

Had to get rid of the Transforce terrible in ice and snow and don't even try mud.

I just put on Goodyear Dura-Tracs, they are awesome in all the above enviroments. I ran them on my jeep and ford and they are always the tire of choice for my needs.

Love the look and the ratings for the DuraTrac but $309 each isn't in my budget.

Wore out stock tires at 27, 000 miles then tried wrangler rsa better traction only got 30, 000 out of them. Now have ContiCrossContact™ LX 2 . So far I like the way they handle, very smooth ride and excellent wet traction. Cost wasn't to bad either.

The Goodyear adventure is actually a better all around tire. Great ratings in conditions. #1 rated tire in its class on Tirerack.com

I see lots of guys on site going with the general grabber AT2's as mentioned above.

They seem aggressive enough and have a decent appearance (and come with RED outerwalls...if that matters)

For 263 I bet they're OK.

My last COOPER ZEONs were I think $290 a tire and I liked them. But didn't like the 08 RCSB rear suspension that they controlled.

I don't think Ill do AT tiresd again, since Ive got he 22's. Im a dedicated summer / winter tire guy, I don't do the all season ****.

FWIW, for a STOCK tire, the RSA's are FAAAAAAR better than the ****** HP's.!!!

Hi Big Blue Hemi,

I have a set of BFG Rugged Terrain T/A's. I have 17's but they are available in 20-60 size also. They are relatively quiet on the highway and they have excellent grip in the snow. Can't talk longevity yet because I've only had them for 6000 miles but they don't seem to have worn much at all.

Only the old style Grabber A/T is available with Red Letters,
not the AT2's...totally different tires.
