Recently got an 08 ram big horn edition...low low miles and in greaaat shape! Guy had done alot of small things to it already.......exhaust, throttle body spacer, programmer......

I really want to get it in the air a little bit...I already added a hellbentsteel 2.5 leveling kit but I want it higher..........I have no experience with lift kits but I know I hate body lifts (opinion only).

I cannot afford lift and tires all at the same time though.....help me out guys, what do I need?

Dat Cummins!
If you are low on cash and you want to go higher, then a body lift is going to be your only option. Unless, you buy the lift and wait, and then buy the tires later.

body lifts are better than suspension imo but only if your driving it on the road but if you will be doing offroading suspension lift all the way!!!

I can afford a suspension lift and wait on the tires....or just buy the lift now, wait to put it on until I get the tires later on.....either way I'd prefer suspension.... which company's make good suspension lifts? When u factor in price, quality, ext?

Also, can you leave the leveling kit on once you add the other lift or does it need to come off?

Sorry for such simple questions I've just never lifted a truck

Nice truck, if you need some extra cash, sell that throttle body spacer that the previous owner installed. Little do people know that they do near nothing for performance on our trucks. However they do make nice paper weights haha.

I'm not sure what gives it the extra power but I will say this. I drove a 2012 new ram and almost bought it and couldn't afford it......then I drove this truck, and while I thought the 4th generations were supposed to have more power, this truck had wayyy more get up and go then the 2012 I drove...........no clue why

Mostly comes down to gearing and weight. The 2012 has 45bhp more I believe.

Great looking truck!

It's a FACT that TB spacers do nothing to late model vehicles. It doesn't hurt anything though so I wouldn't bother removing it unless you're in there anyway.

That's what I thought...Im kinda obsessed with more power....I'd love to have a supercharger in her one day......but alas, married with children does change ones lifestyle when it comes to "toys". I doubt I'll take it out tho

I'm also wanting a lift kit, I'm looking at the Rough Country 6" suspension lift. Is it good for the price? Also anyone know what it will cost to get it installed? Thanks
