I'm wanting to install an LED strip on the rocker panels along my nerf bars. Tired of stepping in dog poo when I leave for work in the morning. What wire can I tie into w/o too much effort that will work in the same fashion as the puddle lights on the mirrors. I want them to turn on with the key fob and off the same way the puddle lights do. If anyone can tell me the best wire to supply the power is including color and specific location, I would greatly appreciate it!

Doing a mod similar to this soon. Dark green/black is the positive wire for the puddle lights.

Thanks! I've pulled several panels by now but I don't think I have pulled that one yet. Any tricks to it or is it another "pull firm and gentle"? Do you think I will have any issues with electrical error messages with this?

To get this panel off you need a screw driver or flat blade prytool. Be careful as you can mark it very easily. Once you have the tool in place it doesn't take much effort and it pops right off.

Your Express should look exactly like this...

Yellow is power, black is ground. This is the dome circuit and all the dimmer

Awesome, thank you! I got a cheap set of trim removal tools form Harbor Freight a while ago. Probably the best thing I've bought there. Hopefully get this done over the weekend.
