What ya think the Mega is worth ?

What do you think my truck is worth ? Im going to be adding more insurance on it for all the mods ect plus the value of it in a nut shell just in case **** happens . I want everything to be covered from tires and rims to radio ect inside and out .
What should I tell the Insurance dude its worth . Stock value from NADA says just under 30k

Talk to your insurance agent and ask him who he uses to appraise vehicles. Go to that appraiser with your list and show him what you have. Otherwise they will just look at the VIN and what reciepts you have and pay based on that.

The best way to do this is start up a price list on all of the mods as well as the initial purchase price and what the truck would be worth stock right now. Look at these numbers on paper see what comes to mind. Appraisals are not that expensive either these days just be sure to get an appraisal from an independent company not a company used by your insurance broker for obvious reasons.

Ya the insurance guy said "they" had a appraiser they use but I was like ya ok .

I will research a independent that is not biased . Good call . I just cant recall or find all the copies of the mods and wanted to know a ball park figure on what these mods are worth and add them to the value of the truck .

Basically any lot will try to screw you hard. We have friends who are sales managers and given what they pay out for vehicles I would say a generous give out on that truck would be between 22.5 and 25k. Tops. Do not take offence as your truck is worth way more this is just a guesstimate as to what a dealer would want.

oh Im not selling it or trading it , i was just curious . I never use dealers unless im buying straight up .
I sold all my old trucks , cars , bikes ect threw privet party's .

Im just curious to hear what a person in sales would give for something like this and to hear what they would sell it for .

I would imagine give you 22.5k then try to sell for 27 or 28.

If they know it books stock for 30k and sell it loaded with mods for 27 someone is getting a deal ..lol

I found 2 appraisers in the phone book I will call in the AM . We had a tornado touch down last week about 10 miles from the house and the truck sits outside , so im kinda worried thats why im putting more insurance on it .

Do you have any idea of how much you have spent on mods? If so just add it to say $25k for what your truck is worth stock and then get that much insurance for it.

well NADA on it stock says 29,700 . I would say in mods 7-8k ? If I add on paint work ect witch I should because if it gets damaged I would want the paint work paid for . Like the hood and flares .

Is 37-38k sound about right . I would like to have some number in my head when it gets appraised .

you can get an idea by comparing it to some stock megacabs on craigslist...plenty on there.
