I have a 2029 Laramie 3500. Aren't I supposed to be able to achieve a wireless recharge? My phone is capable o being charged wirelessly. I've placed it in the spot beneath the screen. Nothing happens

Assuming your truck has the option, do you have a case on your phone? A thicker case will hamper wireless charging unless you put a metal disc inside the case to act as a step between the charger pad and the phone.

I don't know anything about Apple, so if it's an issue with your phone or settings I wouldn't know where to start.

It should be on the bottom of the slot where the phone sits for wireless charging, it's embedded under the plastic.
Be sure to place the phone screen up and even still the phone charging will be maxed out at 7.5W or less depending on the phone case. Factory wireless chargers usually incorporate multi-coil chargers so the charging area in less sensitive to alignment.
A lot of wireless charging for phones heat the crap out of the phones, things like MagSafe minimize the heat by aligning the charging coils. You're farther ahead to buy a high wattage PD charger that plugs into one of the +12V power ports.
