I have a 2016 Ram r/t single cab. And I have beltech shocks all the way around and when I give her all the beans when I’m racing on the street it leaves hard then wheel hops. I’m running 285/45/r22 Goodyear forteras. I’ve tried finding traction bars but no where sales them for my truck. So I’m open to all suggestions and all advice. I just feel like I can get more power and leave harder if I can get it to stop hopping, because when I leave now I give it 1/2 throttle so I feel like it can leave way harder just need the wheel hop to stop.

I think there are a few guys running the Core 4x4 rear upper and lower contol arms that helped them out with wheel hop.

i was also gunna say, a set of goodyears will almost always cause some unwanted wheel hop. maybe swap tire brands? continental pirelli and michelins seem to pull the truest in my experiance on my ram and my brothers challenger scat pack

Completely stock besides the shocks. When you turn traction control off it just roast the tires. So I leave traction control on and build it up and it just hops but if you progressively ease into the grottoes it leaves but just not As hard as when I give it all she’s got.

I installed the Core lower control arms and my wheel hop disappeared. You can also install the uppers if you like. The difference is amazing. You can get them from Moe's Performance, a preferred vendor on this forum.

I eliminated my wheel hop by switching to some fat 305 Nitto rubber.

Is the truck lowered? If it is then Illicit brackets will cure the wheel hop. Core control arms will also. If you dont have Illicit brackets that needs to be the 1st thing you do. That cured the wheel hop, helped the truck hook up, aligns pinion angle, pushes the axle back to center front & back & cures any high speed wobble. All that just from the brackets. I have cut a 1.81 60' on stock 285/45/22 Goodyears w/ them. I just installed Core upper & lower arms & the help alot w/ traction & keeping the truck straight.

My suggestion is Illicit brackets 1st if the truck is lowered & Core arms after. If the truck isnt lowered then definitely get a set of Core control arms

Brackets are close to the same price as an axle. Bad wheel hop can break an axle pretty easily, then the fun really goes out of your day,and it gets real expensive in a hurry. It's not cheap to to cure the issues with a lowered 4th Gen,but far cheaper then breaking things. Gary is on the right track with his advice of Illicits relocation brackets and Core locating arms,i'd follow it if it was me,lol.

What Wild one said. These trucks arent cheap to lower properly & plant the rear tires as they should be. The front is just like every other truck on the market but the 4 link in the back makes lowering them a big issue due to the rear geomatry getting all thrown out of wack. The brackets fix all the different issues I listed above. In 1 sense they look like overpriced pieces of flat plate w/ holes drilled in them but in reality there is a ton of R&D in them & they fix wheel hop, thrust angle, pinion angle, cures high speed wobble by releveling the control arms to spec, turn the lower control arm essentially into a traction bar by angling the bar to plant the tires & recenters the axle front to back. That is alot of things getting addressed, fixed & modified by those simple looking pieces of flat plate. The Core arms will cost $500 also but dont address half what I just mentioned. If price is an issue you can order them directly from Illicit for $400 uncoated. Thats what I did & I just rattle canned them black myself
