Yes they fail when they are cheap non hubcentric spacers that are also just slaped on and not installed properly. Most people dont do there research on some things such as wheel spacers... if done right ( hubcentric spacers, red locktite, properly torqued to spec) there isnt issues. None other than the sane wear on bearings that u would get from going with an offset wheel. But like i said, some people dont do there research and slap on the cheapest spacers they can find with just a 4 way lug wreng and call it good, thats when there is problems lolDon't trust them, will never use them. I have seen too many wheels fly off on the highway because of them. There is no substitute for going with the correct wheel offset.
