Whell Spacers for Snow Chain Clearance

I would like to a add 1/2" wheel spacers to the front wheels to add more clearance for the upper control arms (snow chains), does anyone know if this would cause an issue. If not an issue I would like to leave them on all the time.
If this is not an option what would be a correct backspacing on new rims to add more clearance?

Half inch spacers are sketchy. Nobody that I know of makes any that are hubcentric. Your lug nuts would barely have any stud to grab.
Just seems like a bad idea to go that size.

Thanks, I will look at replacing rims with less back spacing
