Which 3M Tape?

i just installed some Amp Powersteps and instead of using the lights that came with it, I’d like to use a LED strip. What tape do you recommend? Do you think 3M VHB is too strong? I’d hate to use something that may damage the paint if/when I decide to take the lights off.

I would use the gray 3M trim tape. It is available in various widths, just clean the surfaces well.
