I have narrowed my choice down to one truck. 14, 2500 CCSB, Cummins. So, now it's down to a color.
Blue streak
black gold
white

???

I got my first choice.... charcoal. Next for me was silver then the blue metallic.

My last truck was black.... never again. It just looks too dirty and shows everything. White is good in that it doesn't show dirt and scratches.

My vote is for white. But I'm alittle biased towards it

yep i'll never touch black again. it looks great for like 2 years then all the little dings and scratches start adding up plus those dam swirl marks. my step father actually has his painted every few years simply due to swirl marks

Yup. Trading a 14 with the black Appearance package. Who ever said "once you go black"....well, they weren't talking about a truck.
Different color this time for sure.

I personally like the Blue, thats the color I picked. However, if your going to be going off road or using it for any type of hard work Id have to suggest white. The paint on these trucks are pretty thin and not very forgivable towards dings and road derbies. White would help cover some of these. Either way good luck, these trucks are awesome.

White gets my vote. That's the color I'm planning on getting.

I'm a fan of white as well. Black gold and Blue streak are nice as well though. Having the metalic finish on the Black gold and Blue may hide some imprefections though.

It seems like pretty much any dealership that washes a vehicle now a days will get major swirls on it. I'd recommend you tell them not to have them do their after purchase detail, as they will include dealer installed scratches.

After you've purchased the vehicle, I recommend you go to a high end detailing place and have them extract all of the industrial fall out. If you're in the Houston area I recommend Vive -- Auto Detailing Houston | Car Detailing Houston | Car Care Studio Houston :: Vivë-Houston

Oh and HemiStarPower stated that the paint is thin on these trucks. There is a MASSIVE difference in thickness on a metilic finish vs white or black clear coat finish. Metalic is at least 50% thicker.

I kind of wish my truck was white, but my last 4 vehicles were white so change is good. I didn't go into this truck looking for a certain color though. I looked for certain options I must have and went from there. I ended up with a color I really like (Detonator Yellow) and it reminds me of the truck my dad had growing up, a yellow 84 GMC diesel.

I had a white 2011 Ram and I won't buy another white one! It looks great but gets COVERED in surface rust! Takes about 2 hours to hand polish out all the rust after every winter. Plus somehow it got black scuffs.

I thought it was just a Ram thing but my Dad's 2013 white F-250 and white 2012 VW Passat are both the same. He had a 2008 F-250 white and not a spec of rust on it after 3 years! I don't know what's different, maybe paint quality? But the rust drives me nuts so I'll never have another white vehicle!

In addition to showing less dirt and dings, it is also cooler (temp wise) as it reflects heat a little better than other colors.

Also if you plan to resell in the future, your pool of potential buyers will be larger. Blue takes a special buyer as well as the black gold color.

FYI, black my favorite color. I've owned several black vehicles in the past and each time went in with my eyes wide open on the maintenance it requires to keep looking awesome. Although laborious, there are few things that look better than a properly cleaned black vehicle.

That being said, black gold does nothing for me and would be a turn off if I were buying. This isn't to say others won't love it but don't assume for resale that black enthusiasts would be drawn to black gold. In fact I think it will be the opposite.

From a resell only perspective I think white, blue and then black gold in terms of largest potential buyers.

The real question....does it really matter to you? I'd buy a sublime green Challenger although the buyer pool for resale is probably limited severely.

FYI this time around I went granite crystal metallic on the Ram. Living dangerous, lol.

All my vehicles are back. My motto used to be "if it ain't black, take'er back". When its clean, the black is so good looking. Down side its clean for an hour, then covered in pollen, worse it rains about once a week here and she needs a full wash after that.

I wanted a color that you wouldn't see 10 others on a simple drive to the store. I went with Blue Streak and not only do I get complements everywhere I go, I've never seen another in this color!

I absolutely LOVE my white CCSB 2500. I'd recommend it to everyone!
That being said, good grief I love that Blue Steak color...

If you're going to 'use it as a truck' I'd certainly stick with white, it hides everything!
