I sent an email to Bak from the Bak Industries website, and they are all over it in less than 24 hours. HUGE difference. Sadly for BAK, this Real Truck mob are making them look bad. Anyways... I will keep you posted of the outcome.

OK... So Bak reckons they want to replace it - lets see if they stay that path once they know it's in Australia.

Now, with regards to the leaking, it rained today - not heavy rain, just rain, and it leaked BADLY! Huge pools of water in the front. It's streaming through the corners near the cab. I have had a close look and it appears the water can't drain fast enough through the drains, so it builds up and pours out over the sides, and into the tub! Looking at the drains, the holes don't appear to be drilled correctly, so there appears to be only half a hole. OMFG!!!!

I am now seriously p%ssed off. I have tried everything I can to seal this farking thing, and now I am ready to throw it in the trash! The poor workmanship is seriously a problem.

Don't all tonneaus leak? When I did my research on which one to choose for my RAMBOX, that was the conclusion I came to. Which is why I never got one.

The Truxedo Truxport roll up i had on my 2013 never leaked a drop inside the box, they designed the rear seal to be really good and the foam strip between the bed rails at the front of the box to even out the surface worked perfectly.

Also, if you are refrring to his usage of "this is my work car", you do realize he is in a different country with different lingo, as well as our "trucks" are passenger cars according to many DMVs...

In most states (within the U.S.) a truck has to be well over 10,000lbs GVW. You are actually wrong here.

Not sure yet man. Am waiting on a reply from Bak as to the next step. A mate is coming over to have a look today and see if can see something I’m not.

They refere you to a customer service specialist - it's not a joke!
Their customer service is atrocious and their attitude is non caring .
I will not get a Bak Flip as a replacement, not will I ever recommend them to anyone I hunt or fish with .
Anyone have any other good recommendations ?

Ive had bak, extang and undercover. They all leak man. I’ve been told the only ones that don’t leak are the hard fiberglass style covers but haven’t wanted to spend that kind of money

I've been happy with my Extang Solid Fold 2.0 so far, but only had it a few months. All hard folders leak eventually though it seems, based on reviews and youtube vids, etc.

My next cover will be a canopy....but I am considering an upgrade to a 6'4" bed first...need to be abl to lay down in the back, camping with family.

I was going to go a canopy, but I really like the look of a "truck" with a bed. BUT... if I can't get it sorted, I may head down that route. All of my last trucks have had canopies, so I was hoping to go different with this one. Time will tell.

My lowmax has been good but it's only a couple of months old. Ask me in a year or two. I imagine the rubber bits will turn to **** at some point.

Well I’ll be hitting Bak up got a speedy replacement. I have now tried everything and can not keep copious amounts of water out of this thing. It’s a dud.

Don’t mind the troll. Wankers like him look for attention. Don’t give it to them and they get bored and go away.

Anyways good news ahead. I heard from Bak today and they are sending me a replacement!!! Can’t ask for more than that. It took a bit of back and forth, but a new cover is inbound for motor vehicle/car/truck/transportation device.


I’ll keep you all posted and let you know the outcome.
