Thanksgiving driving in the Arizona Desert with no need for A/C. And, it's 70 degrees outside and all I get is heat coming out the vents. And why is it I can not activate the fresh, cool outside air to flow through?

Too much technology.

Sounds like your blend door may not be working correctly???? Just a guess.

Do u have auto? Hit center control instead of Auto and dial the temp all the way to left and make sure AC button not on ie,, no red light.

Above off top of head not on my computer and access to manual.

Mine is a 2019 with the 12 inch screen. Yes, I have auto, but what is "center control," and where do I find that?

When you say "dial to the left," I only know there are the up and down arrows for the temp. Do you mean the volume and station control "dials?"

So to enable the fresh outside air, you have to turn the temp down below outside ambient (preferably all the way down), then make sure a/c is off. Basically to enable it, you have to get out of 'auto' mode and run things in manual. There should be a screen on your 12" screen that allows you to do this, or you can use the buttons on the side - press 'auto,' make sure a/c is off, and use the 'mode' button to select between floor, dash vents, and defroster outlets.

Thanks relaying, since I have 8.4, my setup a lil different, and did not know the 12" systems.

I have the same issue in my 2017 1500 QC - but in the opposite direction. I get cold air coming out of the vents - like the AC is on - even with "Auto", "AC" and Defog turned OFF. Should be nothing running but the fan.

I've had other weird "computer" issues as well (e.g, "Auto" windows sometimes don't latch up/down, backup camera sometimes doesn't turn on, erroneous DTC codes, etc).

I think the software in these trucks sucks. Agree - TOO MUCH TECHNOLOGY
