Ive heard about it once or twice, but never heard any details from someone who’s actually done it.

I would think it would be quite the job if you were wanting to completely delete it. Then you’d have to take out the sales code for the air ride so that you won’t have a constant onslaught of warning lights and messages.

I've been doing a lot of research in regards to what I'll need. obviously, the Inez kit for the 4x4 drop is fairly straight forward with that they include (front upper and lower control arms, rear 4 link relocation brackets, rear drop springs, drop shocks, shorter sway bar links, and drop down trac bar brackets).

I've spoken with a member that has removed his full factory air system on another forum to install the factory coil system because of no less than 8 trips back to the dealer to sort out air system problems he's had over a couple of years of owning his truck. in the end he sourced all the OE parts and pulled out everything air related. many ram rebel guys with air have also pulled the system to do lifts. I've read their forums as well.

I've experimented with putting the truck to entry mode and pulling the fuse and driving with it that way for a week. done the same in off road one mode for about a week. you get the service air suspension message on startup but it goes away. it also doesn't appear every startup. I was able to get use to scrolling to another info screen and it doesn't reappear after running. I'd kind of prefer this fuse pull method and leaving all the lines and compressor in place instead of removing the sales code from the ecu, so that whenever I sold the truck I could include the factory air stuff that could easily be reinstalled by a new owner if desired. as mentioned I can live with the random message.

simply, the intention would be to make the suspension a stock coil setup.. but swap what I don't need for the parts in inez kit.

for parts, I'd need new OE or aftermarket (bilstein or viking) front struts, lower mounts or cups for the coil to sit in, oe or aftermarket coils, the rear items would all come with the inez kit. and the rubber spring idolators for the front and rear coils as well as an air lift durango helper bag kit for the rear.

one easy way for the front would be just to buy a new replacement quick strut already assembled, like a monroe and that would include everything.
OR, local recycling yards or ebay for a couple of used assembled front strut/coil assemblies (cheaper). possibly someone selling used oe that has pulled a stock coil setup to install a lift with taller coils and aftermarket struts.

I'd really like to use a stock OE coil and bilstein 5100 front struts as I loved the firm yet not rough ride it gave my stock height 2010 4x4 crew. they were wayyyyyyyy better than the oe strut for handling and ride quality.

after all this I still wouldn't have my 3.92's lmao o_O

I got the truck I want but that just means it has everything I want that was available given I bought it used and now it is time to start modding. So that really means the truck I want does not exist and if it did I wouldn't trust whoever did the mods.

I wanted an Ecodiesel 1500, but the reliability of the engine scared me away, so I purchased a Rebel with the options I wanted.

Have you upgraded your bulbs? Mine came with the premium projectors and although they’re great headlights- the best on any vehicle I’ve ever had the pleasure of owning for stock headlights but the bulbs are as cheap as those Goodyear SRA’s they put on the wheels at the factory. New bulbs later, everything is fine, how it should be.

I couldnt justify the want so I got what I thought I needed 2500 tradesman with 6.4 and a couple add ons. Handles the heavy towing a couple times a year not flashy and no butt warmers but gets the job done.

We got everything we were looking for in our truck. The only thing that got me, was Ram released the "Ignition Orange" paint scheme about 3 months after we bought our truck. I would've tried for that one, but it was still out of our budget, so it's probably a moot point.

I would have liked the leather interior but couldn't justify the cost. Not that I couldn't affortd it, just couldn't justify it so I have the cloth heated buckets. I love my truck though. I did upgrade all the bulbs to LED's. Only thing missing now is the rear defroster. I didn't even think about it when looking but oh well.

I do. Well except spray in liner and I can add that later.

If I would’ve ordered one from the factory, this is it. Has nothing I wouldn’t have gotten and nothing missing.

I did the same thing, said all I “need” is a tradesman 6.4
Now it has a lift, tires, painted bumpers, painted grill, 8.4 UConnect, console with floor shift, amp and sub, leather steering wheel with audio control and floor lighting.
Down the rabbit hole but I love this truck, best Ram I’ve had since my 96 V10
