Not sure....for the v6 installed he quoted $8500. I would think for the 345 it should be right around 10k, that's just based off the difference in price of the engines that I googled last night, the 345 was about 1k more. I plan on asking my mechanic tomorrow. Just not sure what if any other changes would be necessary to put the 345 in, I have never had anything even close done to any of my vehicles before. But now that I am pretty much done with bolt ons with my truck, it sure would be nice to have another one to play with!

Sorry for not asking about your wife btw, just figured it was already answered.

Glad she's safe btw

Just talked to my mechanic....said I would be better off buying one with a V8...said have to switch tranny, rear end, brakes, and wiring harnesses just to name a few.

Well hell if it going to be that much involved there's no reason not to install the Hellephant........LOL!

So I went by my mechanic's earlier...this is the piece that went through my wife's car, I thought she drove over it, but it went through the grill insert, through the radiator molding, through the radiator, through the fan, and into the engine. It seems to be an 8 pound piece of cast iron pipe. If it had been a foot higher, it would have gone through the entire car front to back, or through her chest or head. Mechanic said the engine barely stopped it, they found a piece of it inside the engine. Needless to say I am thankful no one was injured or worse. Stay safe everyone!

So I talked to Geico earlier today, and surprisingly they are not going to raise my rates, they classified it as a "not at fault" accident, so for the whole ordeal I am only out $500 plus mileage for the rental (I think), on a tab that is right at $10k for parts, labor, and towing. Thank God for insurance! On a side note, I switched to Geico little over a year ago after being with Progressive 20+ years. Gotta say, Geico is light years ahead of Progressive in price and customer service. The last couple years I was with Progressive, they would raise our rate every time we renewed the policy and could never get an answer why.
