Last time I had a cracked windshield it was my own fault. I was driving home from work and was stopped at a red light. For those that know me well, know that I am deathly scared of spiders...well, one of them ******** walked across my windshield right in front of me. I saw my wifes hairbrush laying in the seat and grabbed it and killed the *******...resulted in me also cracking my glass...

My buddy got pissed at a text his girlfriend sent him and threw his otterbox-cased iPhone at his windshield. iPhone was perfectly one, windshield wasn't lol

I was pulling our flat deck trailer empty on Monday down the highway and watched one of the tires kick something up and just thought to myself "noooooo"
Luckily there was anyone in the other lane or close begin me

I got a small crack on the corner of the windshield on my 05 not too long after I got it. Took it to a body shop and they injected some type of filler into the cracks that prevents them from spreading. 7 years later and it's still fine. I'm not sure what they call the stuff that was injected in it though.

hmm that's interesting Wendy, will check into that if the insurance won't cover it.

It's a resin...you can actually buy it yourself online, but it's can be pretty complicated to do. I think Safelite says as long as the chip is no larger than a quarter, they can fill it with resin.

Wife was driving the old van and parked at a friends house, her husband was mowing and smashed the rear window. It was covered under his homeowners policy.

I would check with the insurance.

How much is it to replace your window? Mine got a new one when I bought it and it cost $150 installed

We have had the 4 runner fixed before from safelight it should be free under your insurance sometimes it works sometimes it does not. And as far as lawnmowers kicking up rocks best of luck with that one. We have maintenance guys here that do yard work they threw a rock up and chipped the door on her truck then it turns into the b/s game. Guy come out looks at it say we did not do it yes you did no we did not ok heres the lawyers number yadda yadda it will cost you more to fight it then to fix it.
