Not sure if this has been asked, tried searching, but my driver side window switch has now twice stopped working in the "auto up" function. Down and passenger side work fine.
Anyone else had this happen?

I had this happen once on an F150 I had and my brother just had it happen on his bmw a few months ago. Both needed new switch panels in the drivers door. If all the other windows and the power locks still work then you have power to everything so that's the likely culprit.

This did happen to me over the summer but it started working again the next day. Mine happened after I had the windows tinted and waited the three days for the window film to cure. There is a thread on this, and someone replied saying that it had to be "reset" or something. Maybe they will chime in or use the search to try to find it.

I searched first but didn't see anything other than "had to be replaced". I will try again and see if I can find that thread. Thanks.

Hi audiophile,

Sorry to hear about this! If you decide to visit your dealership for further diagnosis, I'd be happy to offer assistance. Please send me a private message with your VIN and let me know.

Found the fix on another thread. to reset the auto up/auto down it must be relearned. with the key either in on or run, press the switch down until the window opens completely and hold the switch down for 3 seconds, then press window up until completely closed and hold the switch up for 3 seconds. it should now work with auto up/down

I have a 2017 Sport R/T that has the problem of no one touch UP. Regular cab and neither window works going UP except by holding the switch. I have tried the reset talked about on this thread, but no luck. I mentioned it to dealer service when having my oil changed and they checked and said I needed a new switch. It came in and today they installed it. As I left the dealership I tried the window - still not working going UP. Then they told me that I didn't have that option.

Is it normal to have one touch down without one touch up?

This would happen to me occasionally on my 2006 Honda CRV. I removed the negative battery cable for 20 min and that took care of resetting that function.
