I have 20% on the front 5% on the backs. Fronts are ok to see out of. The back sucks at night trying to back up. I put on a opt7 to help with that but now looking to upgrade radio to get more view from it. Also for what it's worth I got pulled over for tint here in ohio and when he checked it the front was actually 12.5% not sure if there is a slight factory tint or if the guy that put it on put on a 15% maybe? My back check -% lol which I was fine with the reason I did it is so noone could look at my kids in while we are in a parking lot there are some weirdos out there.

When NY changed the law I missed having tint on my front windows. Now when I get in friends cars with the front windows tinted (they are from out of state) I can’t see **** when it’s dark out. I don’t miss it anymore, but it does look good.

I have my front the same tint as the rears, for me it works perfectly. I can still see but it’s not obnoxious light nor dark. Only thing I forget is backing up cause factory lights are not bright enough ‍♂️

I think front tint worth anything is illegal basically everywhere. Really depends on rather or not officers want to enforce it. I understand the reasoning for it as far as safety not only to you while driving but so an approaching officer can see if you are reaching for something to put them in danger. At the end of the day though most officers if they can see you as you pass dont give you much ****. Where I got pulled over was in bfe on a back highway and the officer was clearly having a **** day by the way he presented his self and the fact he told me if he stopped me again he'd take a knife to it. . Again I get it we all have our days and at the end of the day I knew it was illegal when I put it on so he wasnt in the wrong.

You can’t pass inspection in NY with the front windows tinted...unless it’s from factory. I had to remove mine a few years ago on my last truck in order to pass.

Had my driver and passenger done with 20% carbon tint and my windshield done with 50% ceramic tint. Law here is 35% side and none on windshield. There's a lot of vehicles running around here with 5% all the way around.
After thinking about getting windows tinted and starting to notice more tint on the road, like you said, there are a quite a few driving around way past 20%, lol. Maybe it'd be a slow day if they pulled over for just window tint?

If they are having a bad day, I guess anything can set them off. One time I was in a BFE county in WV, and we were coming back from my wife's grandfathers viewing and the cop pulled us over because a light wasn't shining on our back license plate - really?!!? That was definitely Barney Fife 2.0

20% on front doors, the rear 3 have 5% over factory tint. I have great night vision, so the dark tint doesn't really effect me. be3cec077dbca7c9ca9c5435407f39de.jpg

Looks nice! I'm thinking 20% will be the sweet spot for day and night driving.
