I recently purchased a set of Vent Visors for my 2017 Sport. When I did a test fit the front driver window rolls up, stops for a 1/2 second then roles about 1/2 way down. Can somebody shed some light on why its doing this and if/how I can stop it?

Safety feature to protect from being caught in a closing window. Your visors are keeping the window from completely closing before drive current reaches protection threshold.

Go back and look at the install for the weather strip being pushed in to the window.

Yep, mine did the same thing with EGR In channel vent visors. Just had to push in the weatherstripping a bit to soften it, then closed the windows and kept them closed for a few hours. Never had an issue again as the weatherstripping is compressed enough now.

If the aforementioned doesn't work another fix is to file down the corner right by the mirror pylon where it's likely contacting.

Yes
keep windows closed for a day if you can, my weather tech did same thing.
To roll up all the way, dont use auto up, but just lightly hold up button til it closes all the way.
