Windshield replacement on a 2024 2500/Rebel

Has anyone had to replace the windshield on a 2500 Rebel? It’s acoustic glass and safelite says they don’t use acoustic glass but they say it’s a direct replacement for the OEM glass. I can’t see how the two are equal quality.

Call a smaller shop and ask, I used Glass America for my 4th gen and they brought OEM glass. Safelite should have OEM also though.

The two are not equal.

Acoustic glass is more expensive and also reduces in-vehicle noise.

I had very bad luck with Safelite (sent there by my insurance company). I would find another glass shop that knows their product and can install / replace your windshield properly.

Safelite windshields suck. Cheap Chinese crap.
