My wiper cowl is breaking and coming apart. Do they make any that look better than the factory ones? Or has anybody tried to paint them?

Yeah the piece that covers the wiper motors, ive had a rattle for the last 8 months that i couldnt find. I found it today lol. So at the side where it curves up it is starting to break and the corner is rattling in the wind while driving. I can get a pic in the morning. Its all faded out anyways, im sure its dry-rotted and weather cracking. I plan on getting a new one, was just curious if anybody has painted it and how it held up.

I painted the plastic wiper cowling on my daughter’s 2012 Honda Civic over a year ago. While it looks much better cosmetically the actual weather blocking properties aren’t good. If I had to do over again I’d go with a new one and new retaining clips.

Yeah i have to get a new one, mine is breaking apart, is the paint holding up decent? I plan on getting a new one, just considering painting the new one.

I’m shopping for one now. I had a sound that I thought was a screw or something in the HVAC, turns out it was the dry rotted end of the cowl flapping in the wind.

Dealer wants $439 plus tax, online they are $299 but shipping brings you right back up to the dealer price and this looks like something UPS could break on the way.

Did you end up picking a new cowl up?
yeah, I did. I think I bought it off Amazon. You paid a little bit more for the product itself but shipping is free and it ended up cheaper than anywhere else. Every other place I looked at wanted like $200 shipping plus the part I think the highest shipping I was quoted was like 400.
