Wired for BU Camera?

I know that this has been beaten to death here but I am wondering if My 15 Express CC is already prewired for BU cam. I got an RA2 and camera from RKL with the gate to bed harness. When i opened the gate and looked at the existing wiring they match exactly...so i am guessing that I am prewired for camera just need the handle and the camera jumper. Then to the dealer to activate sales code for camera...??

I was wondering why you wanted the camera and harness ?
I doubt your prewired for the BU camera ...

As for being prewired , an easy way to tell is under the bed and partially hidden by your spare tire the other end of the tailgate to bed harness if you have 8 wires going from the main harness to the tailgate harness then yes you are , if you only have two wires then your not , those two are for the electric tailgate lock . Some people have had the full harness inside the tailgate ...
I believe the harness connection / CuylerTech makes the long harness you need , not sure but he did post a while back that he was going to start making them ?

If you decide to go with the OEM Kit don't hesitate to call me if you need assistance or advice , I've put in a couple of these kits now and they are simple to install , just a couple of spliced wires and the rest is plug and play .
If you don't have my ph.# anymore, just PM me .

does this kit give you moving lines as you turn?

if not that is a lot of money i used a 20 cam and had the dealer turn on the sales code for me in my old '13

Other kits do not tap into the RAM'S System Line bus CBC3 Signal , this one Does ! ,,,,,, ( to my knowledge so does CuylerTech / The Harness Connections harness ! ! ! )

It's a great kit and works flawlessly with the RA2 /3 /4+radios and the video capable mirror , ( because it's an OEM add on kit )

The Linebus CBC3 Signal ( BCM C-5 conector Socket 45 ) is one of the two splices required during the install , easy to find and easy to DO !

THE OEM add on back up camera kit is the only way to go in my opinion. .

you still have to get the dealer to activate it correct? if so was that included in the $250?

Yes and no , dealer must flash in sales code XAC , My dealer was gonna charge me $45.00 then I said hey man I bought the kit from you and it takes 9 minutes for your tech to complete this task ! Is it really worth generating a work order and a bill for 9 minutes?
Then he did it for FREE , !

Nope , it's an OEM add on kit and it works flawlessly with your RA2 + Factory radios or can be displayed on a capable mirror

I do love the radio and have since installed the audio control upgrade, have manual dim mirror with mic on the way and the harness for the a pillar. Already installed the EVIC switch on the left of the steering wheel. So just need to find out about the body harness...but that will have to wait till the budget can take it...

Have you check with CuylerTech on the body harness , short camera harness inside tailgate , radio harness and the handle yet ?
You should also post in the classifieds in the wanted section , ya never know what's available out there ...

have not checked with CuylerTech yet...i am going to post in the wanted section this morning...i think that all the short wiring harnesses that I need I will get new...(have a wholesale account with the local stealer) I got the mirror wiring harness for 16.00...
and at my cost they still want like 80.00 for the gate handle....i did order an A/M handle and promptly returned it....it was not configured like the factory one for the camera mount

I have the one for the mirror but I lack the one for the tailgate jumper to the camera and lock and the one that runs along the body up to the front. That would be awesome...

Sorry this took me so long buddy !

The part numbers I'm listing below are the P/N s that were with my OEM BACKUP CAMERA KIT P/N 82214240 that I received from my local Dealer in July 2015 .
(I'm not sure if all of them are available separately from the kit )

1) 68209529AB , Camera Body Harness
This is the long Main harness .

2) 68243835AA , Radio Harness . This harness is only 3 wires & and connects to the main harnes above under the drivers side dash & connects to the radios C1 connector @ sockets 31, 32 , 33

3) 68189124AB , Taigate Wire Harness , This is the short 8-10" harness that that connects directly to the camera and the Camera/Lock Jumper harness inside the tailgate you bought from me .
