Worthless dashboard cup holders - transformed!!!
I've been disappointed with the dash board cup holders since I first tried to use them. The angle of the dash meant a cup with any size to it would rub and mark up the dash so it's been sitting there as wasted space for the past nine months. I started trying to figure out what I could to to get some use out of that space and I had an idea. Took me some time to buy another setup to experiment with (keeping the original to put it back to stock when desired) but I got one a few weeks ago and have been tinkering around. I don't leave home without a handgun and have been putting my J frame into the armrest console but that's not the most convenient/quickest way to get to it so This is what I came up with.

Not thrilled with the way it came out but I've always been better at conception than finished product. It's functional, looks normal to the unknowing and allows for quick access so overall I'm pleased with how it came out. I may try to clean it up and make it look a bit better at some point but I'll be moving on to other projects for now (installing my Bilsteins and overhead console).
