The front seat of any Wrangler or Gladiator is miserable for tall people. The speaker bar will decapitate you if rear ended - assuming you can fit in to begin with. The RAM 1500, however fits us.Having owned and sold 3 Gladiator’s (two gas one diesel) I’ll chime in here. I’ve owned the Rubicon, Sport and Overland trims and liked the Overland the most.
The 3.6 V6 is gutless and struggles with passengers on the freeway at 70mph. It also struggles to tow anything useful (U-haul 12’ trailer) in town or on the highway.
The 3.0 diesel was amazing but had fuel pump and electrical issues. Towing and highway travel was a non-issue but I needed reliability.
As it’s essentially a JL with a bed everything carries over from the rear axle forward. The same space constraints are there but the back seat is awful for taller passengers.
All gripes aside, I’ll be shopping for a ‘21 or ‘22 Rubicon EcoDiesel in a year.
Did they tell you what were the constraints? Thanks to everyone who chimed in and replied. Yea so the dealer called me back and basically said the 25 I ordered had some constraints on it and I could either order the truck without those options OR I'd have to wait a month or 2 tops and order a 2026 model because the 25's were essentially done.
I decided i'd wait and order a 26 Rebel X because I do still have 2 months left on my lease anyway and I can always share my wifes Wrangler until the RAM comes in. Still excited to join the ram fam but I guess it will just be a little longer of a wait!
I believe it was essentially the X package and I couldn't get the bed utility package. No ventilated seats and no panoramic sunroof. I definitely want all those items since I plan to keep the truck longterm so no issues waiting a few months to get exactly what I want.Did they tell you what were the constraints?
I have a 2021 Rubicon Wrangler and a 2025 Limited. There is zero comparison between the two in literally any way. The first thing you'll notice, is the Wrangler has a far better turning radius. So if parking in tight spots is something you do daily, yes the Ram will be considerably more difficult. The Ram drive quality is so much higher than the Wrangler, you'll be shocked you daily drove a Wrangler and still have your teeth. The interior of the Ram is massive compared to a Wrangler, you're going to have massively increased leg room. The Wrangler is far more fun to drive than the Ram, pickups today are so refined it doesn't even feel like you're driving a truck. The power is incredibly better. The newer Wranglers aren't dogs, they get to sixty between 5-6.5 seconds depending on models, but the Hurricane motor is insane compared to a 3.6 in the Wrangler. The larger UConnect screen is great as well.Hi guys,
I have been a wrangler owner for a long time. Thinking about getting rid of it for a 2025 ram rebel. I really like the turbo motor and the interior seems worlds above.
I know jeeps don't have the best ride quality so I am thinking since it's my daily id be very happy with the rebel.
The only thing that concerns me a little is the size and length of the truck. Parking and certain daily tasks. Assuming I'd get use to it and would be no big deal though.
Just curious if anyone else has came from a wrangler and more importantly how you guys like dallying your rams?
Thanks and possibly placing an order for a 25 this weekend
The gals at work all love my little pink Willys...

All that said, I was glad I kept both vehicles because the Wrangler is just way more fun in the summer, and I'd never take my 25 Limited on beach.
Hmm oddly enough even though I know it's basically the same truck but I wouldn't want to take a limited on the beach either. It seems too nice and luxury and street tires BUT in my head I could see taking a rebel with the AT tires and enjoying some of the perks like the pano roof and packing some lunch in the ice box trays under the matts.
I don't know for me I think the rebel may tick all the boxes for fun and practical for my needs. I did think about the RHO or a used TRX but I just cant get over how wide they are. I think it would make my daily tasks too much of a pain. The base body 1500 I can sort of justify and I borrow my friends F150 from time to time and parking isn't really a big deal BUT if it was raptor/trx size then yea I think it would become a pain over time.
The RHO and TRX are wider? Are you referring to just the wheel offset? The body should be the same.
TRX
TRX has different fenders that make it wider.
That's not going to make it handle differently though if the body and axles are the same width.

I don't know anybody suggested it will handle differently. The fenders are part of the body, so not sure what you're saying there.
If the width matters depends on what you're doing. If you're in wide open spaces on the highway all the time, whatever. Trails, width can matter or *really* matter. Tighter parking spaces, etc. as well.
