I ran the wire through the firewall. The negative onto the battery and the positive to the F66 fuse. That fuse is to the sunroof. It's a 10 amp and only is on when the truck is on. I bought 2 4" strips of LED lights from Walmart for $20. Had it in my last truck and worked well for a year until I sold it! I spliced the wire from the LED lights to the main wires. I ran the wires around the center console and tucked them away underneath. Then I spliced the passenger side footwell LED wire to the main wire and fired it up!

does the footwell stay on all the time? and were you able to wire this to the rear as well?

Yes it's on from when I start the truck until I shut it off. What do you mean wire to the read?

I'm not sure of the minimum that you'd need, but I just tapped into a 10 amp fuse. I used 14 GA wire. You can get away with less but I like to be safe lol

I just found them in the auto department at a walmart in Windsor Ontario. You can find them on eBay too! I just bought a 16' roll of the stuff from there!

Yeah I've been very happy with the duratracs this winter! They've been amazing!

Thanks man!

Just a question about the UCA's...What is the purpose of them in this application other than just a little more beefy than stock? Are they required to have with the body lift for just daily road driving?

Ram replaced the UCA'S in 2013 with a cheaper UCA. When they did they and people leveled the trucks out ball joints starter popping because they couldn't handle the added stress from the leveling kit. The Mevotech UCA'S solve this issue because they're much beefier than stock!

You don't need them for the body lift, just if you're going to put a leveling kit on. Some guys have gotten away with not replacing them, but is kind of a ticking time bomb

Okay so thanks to blackbetty14 I HAD to do LEDs under the truck! Lol

Here's how I did it.

First I pulled off the adhesive tape and added some gorilla glue and stuck it to the underside of the truck. Then I ran the wires through to the engine bay.

After that I soldered the wires to the second LED strip.

I dislike soldering now -_- lol. The I attached that strip to the truck. I ran the passengers side wires behind the firewall to cover them up you can see it coming out in the right of this pic.

I used heat shrinking to hook the wires to the LED strips. Then I attached the 2 grounds and 2 power wires together in the engine bay and hooked them to 1 power and 1 ground to go into the truck.

After this I took the footwell LED out to make it easier to get at the wires. I used a tap connector on each wire to connect my LED strips.

Not a great pic but you can see what's going on if you're looking at your own truck.

Here's the finished product!

They come on when I open the doors or hit unlock on my key! Plus they match all the exterior LED's I have and the HID's! Ended up costing me $30 and a couple hours of my time. Pretty damn good If you ask me!

Do you know the overall height of your truck (roof)? I really like the look you achieved, but, have a garage door issue...input appreciated. Kurt

The overall height to the roof is 82" or 83" to be safe I'd say 83"

Thanks for the information. That *just* suits my needs. I will have to keep snow cleared from the driveway though...for my lifted 4X4.

Took a couple cool pics of my truck the other day so thought I'd throw them in! They show off the offset nicely! For those who don't know, I've got 35" duratracs on the factory wheels. I have a 1.5" BORA Wheel Adaptors
