Chris's 6.4 Hemi Stroker Truck

Here is a video of the backfiring. It’s running super rich on only one side of the engine and I don’t have a single CEL to even start troubleshooting it. I am wondering if I messed up something on my injector harness when I re-wired it. I replaced a fouled 02 sensor and that didn’t help. I have a fresh start up tune to try tommorow, if that doesn’t work I’ll try to find a new injector harness and see what happens

Idk it’s running rough, hopefully it’s just from it being rich or just breaking in

Man everything about this has been tedious to the point of aggregation haha everything’s taken 3 times to get it right and 5 times longer then I figured it would

OP: you mention injectors which is something i was thinking too, the more i look at the smoke the more it almost looks like an injector might be stuck open? im not there to see it in person or smell the exhaust so its obviously harder to help ya, but id try a test on the injectors when you check the harness, but maybe you can get lucky and the new tune will be what you need!

Yeah the injectors have been on the back of my mind, I’ll check them tonight. I bought a used set of SRT4 stage 1 injectors. I trust the seller but it’s always possible one is bad. I’ll test them tonight, might even put my old ones in just to trouble shoot. If they are all good then maybe a new wire harness is what I need

We got it we got it we got it!!! It was my own damn fault all along as I suspected. I somehow crossed the wires for the injector and coil packs on cylinder 4 and 6. They were firing off time, causing the backfire and the vibration. Now it runs smooth, just need to get the idle dialed in for the cam. I am really hoping to get it on the road tommorow !

Piece by piece haha I got the hood and grill on tonight, still need to button up the headlights but they are almost finished as well. I’m hoping this weekend to get a lot done on the body work
